Default new 1/8 mile times

best run of the night..

rt... 0.993
60ft... 2.573
mph... 63.83
et... 11.095

So does this sound right for an 5G auto sedan gutted from the rear seats back, intake, and no p/s? I know I gotta work on my rt. a lot more. I noticed my car was running consitent 11.0~11.1's all night but the last few runs I ran slower because I was running hot laps. How long do you think I should let my car cool down between runs? Any other tips you guys have for my next trip to the track? Thanks.

Oh and dont clown on my slowness. Im just getting base numbers on how I run now before I start upgrading the motor. Kinda want to see how far Ive come from ya heard.

Is it really a big difference with PS gone? Is steering much harder? I was interested in tossing the AC and PS for the turbo kit, but I'm not sure. Lemme know!

Not bad times for a near stock Auto! Promising at least!

i drive with out PS

only time you notice, is tight spots

like trying to pull into a tight parking spot without alot of room

handling is actually better
you move the wheel a little and you turn. not like where you rotate the whole damm wheel two revolutions to get you to make a turn... move it from \__/ thats bout all the room you need: like 10 - 2 o clock

Nice, would you recommend getting rid of AC and PS?

I recommend removing p/s if you dont mind getting buff. Its only hard to drive going below 5mph. Once you start going then its just as easy as it is normal. I dont think Ill ever go back to p/s. Whenever I drive a car with p/s it feels too ***** to drive.

That time ET is really really sad. That's only a second faster than this old 70s model Dodge truck I saw running at the track. :b

Ok So what did the old 70s model dodge truck have done to it? Its worthless comparing my ET to a totally different car at a track with totally different conditions.

Let me remind you that a few stock 5G lx accords were running 11.9+ at the track that night. Thats a ~0.8 second difference from what I was running. Me having just the mods I stated Id say thats a significant difference. Now I was just asking for helpful tips for the next time I go run and not some ignorant "that time et is really really sad, thats only a second faster than blah blah blah" post.

Nothing, it was just some old guy dragging his old Dodge truck. LOL. But if you want some advice, I wouldn't worry about your 60 foot times too much, it's very hard to lower those without some drag radial or slicks. Have you thought about maybe a torque converter? I mean maybe an aftermarket upgrade or something. I believe that on automatics they lose like 25% of the HP, surely a stronger/better torque converter would help give you more power transfer, etc. Not sure about the market for Accords but surely there's something out there. Also, nitrous is a quick and easy way to get your ET up. How safe it is to use depends on the precautions you take, but yeah, definately good for drag racing. BTW, nice reverse flame.
