F/S D16A1 pistons on balanced/shot peened Z6 rods...NEW!
On ebay now.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...24803
Edit- I've only revved to 3.5 RPM BTW also....was attemtping to break it in nicely...
Hey...my project D16Z6 N/A has gone a little too far for me. So far I have about 120 miles on these piston/rods/rings....and the compression is too much. I can barely afford food, let alone the fuel needed to run this high compression.
The rods are stock D16Z6 rods which were heat treated, shot peened, and balanced by my brother at Edward's Engines in Spokane, WA...
they were mated with brand new p29 pistons from a 88-89 Integra engine (D16A1) with brand new rings.
I got my engine running with this setup, only to blow my tranny. After I emptied the piggy bank and bought a new tranny...my engine started to ping slightly at WOT under load. Well, needless to say....I'm pulling this block out and going back to stock for now(maybe go D16A6 pistons in the future...but whatever).
So, what I'm selling is the pistons pressed onto the rods, plus the rings. They have 120 miles on them(Won't drive my car until next weekend when I pull the engine out).
All you need is a block to get bored over to each piston with the correct piston to wall clearance. This will be a great setup for anyone willing to use the correct octane fuel and do some tuning. I'm asking 250 plus shipping for them...here's some pics.
If I get someone needing them ASAP...I will drop my engine early, pull the pistons/rods, and ship them out next day air with proper payment. IM me for details, etc....

Again...these pistons are used...but only for 120 miles....rings barely seated...ready to go in a freshly honed block prepared for this size

they'll make GREAT power....right now my timing is set at 4 degree BTDC...and it's faster than a stock bottom end. Imagine that with tuning, fuel and 16 degrees timing!!!! It will pull hard
