Default Sparco EVO mount problems

Hello-

I have a set of Sparco EVO BOTTOM mount seats. The problem I have with these seats is that the bar you pull to move back and foward conflicts with the frame of the seat. When the seat is all the way back, the bar gets stuck in the open position and the seat is free to move back and foward until the teeth engage.

Can I get some nice grade 8 bolts, and some steel or aluminum stock, and raise the seat off of the frame a half inch or so?

pics in a second.... uploading

I just need to raise it a quarter to half inch....

Here is the bar stuck in the critical position... notice the clearance I need is minimal.

New rails are like 80 bucks or something, and I would have th get side mount ones... Tell me what you think

why not just buy some longer bolts, then use washers to increase the space.

Washers would work too... just thought strips of metal might be a little better..... might discourage flexing a little better

Honestly, if it were myself, I would do the longer bolts with good washers or metal squares to raise the seat up.

Well yeh either way ima get some longer bolts... you think longer bolts with washers would be just as strong with the metal going all the way down the rail?

thanks

The rails are only being supported on the ends...it would be the same if there were washers in there. Don't worry bout the strength of it. Using bars would just add lots of weight, exactly the opposite of what these seats accomplish

*yes, i know they do more than save weight*
