Default Proper way of making H23 Vtec

Like the title say, what's the proper way to build a H23 Vtec? Some say all I need to do is swap out the H22 crank and rods with H23 components. Some say I need to swap out the the whole H23 short block. Some even say I can use the F22 (accord) crank and rods. Any help is greatly appreciate.

h22 head + h23 block = h23vtec.. (there's really more to it but you gotta understand the basics first)

Why can't I put the H23 crank and rods into the H22 block and use the H22 piston to creat a 2.3L Vtec with 10.0 CR and don't have to worry fabricating new oil line. And if this is true, are the F22 crank and rods same as the H23 items. I'm just asking because I have the F22 engine lying around doing nothing in my garage. Thanks!!

Read through this, also ask 2point6 any questions you have, i think he's done a couple of h23vtec's. http://www.collectiveracing.ne...t=107

does anyone have a link to where anyone has actually told how to do an H23 VTEC, if so, PM it to me, and i will put it back in this thread, until then, this one is locked just for the fact that the H23VTEC question gets asked all the time
