Default Stainless steel brake lines for ITR...worth it?

This is for any ITR owners that have installed SS brake lines. Do you feel that they made a difference? Are they even worth the effort/money?

yes, get em...... but pay extra attention to it, everytime you service your car have a look at the lines, and check for wear and damage.

I know there was a difference....
what we found particularly odd was when we 1st installed them...the pedal actually FELT mushier...

bled again..and over and under and over again...and we were convinced the fluid was absolutely clean and devoid of bubbles..and yet again....it travelled considerably more than stock...!!

After a long night filled with brake fluid and brake clean...we had it... pack it up and juss drive it....

a few days went by and my friend reported that the pedal had gone back to stock and actually felt better ....back to back driving my R and his confirmed this.....

heal-toe has become a bit difficult when I drive his car now since the initial bite is so sudden....but then again.... I haven't changed my brake fluid since '97 when I bought the car...so uh....

yeah...brake lines are good!!

it helps with preserving brake feel during long track sessions where the brake fluid gets really hot - on the street I don't think you will encounter this. depends on what you plan to use your car for I guess...

Wow. EXACT same experience here. Went to SS lines, bled the living lights out of 'em and still felt low/spongy. Drove for a day, bled again, much better. I don't know if it made a difference in everday driving, but certainly helps on the track.

If you're forced to choose between flushing your brake fluid at least once every two years like the manual tells you to, vs SS brake lines... PLEASE, CHANGE YOUR FLUID!!!

Yup, I had the same scenario; mushy at first, bled WAY too much Motul through them to try to firm it up but to no avail.
After a long day at the track I still had brakes left, despite my toasted pads. The SS lines offer a more consitent feel as the heat builds in my opinion. On the streets I don't think it's any big deal. Worth the money on the track though
now I just need to get some new tires and pads for the next lapping day.

SS lines are worth the $$$, period.

Make sure you inspect them on a regular basis.
