Stolen HT Car Recovered Intact by Fellow Members!
WE RULE THE WORLD!
Anyways...here's how it went down. Steve (b16a ferio) and I (BauleyCivic) were on our way to our friend Patrick's house from school to pull a motor. Patrick had a wrecked EX, so we went there to pull the D16 and take the head (for my mini-me) and the tranny (to sell) off the motor. On our way there, we see this good looking red EK hatchback parked in a townhouse parking lot. So we stop and check it out...grey slips, thermal exhaust, dumped, "DOHC VTEC" decals on the side (obviously hybrid)...looking good So we leave, and head to patricks house. 5 hours and a pulled motor later, we head back to school. Steve gets online...and gets an IM from vtecxsir. "My car was stolen this morning from school at 10AM!" he said. Steve asked him if it happened to be a red hatchback with grey slips, vtec decals, etc. He said "YES THATS MY CAR." So we tell him the location, he calls the cops. Me and steve leave school and head back to the location. We get there, and the car is still there! An unmarked police car with an officer in it is waiting by the car...we pull up, get out and tell him the entire story. The car is completely intact, nothing stolen or broken except for the ignition. We wait there with him, a few more officers come, and the car is towed away. Me and steve walked away with the biggest smiles on our faces ever
Cliff's Notes: BauleyCivic and b16a ferio saw a clean red EK on the way to a friends house, learn a few hours later it was stolen that day, go back to it and call the cops...it is towed away completely intact, nothing stolen.
Finally a happy ending to a theft story!!!!!

The cops should have "staked out" until the thiefs came back to get it and catch their asses red handed!

Seriously, keep an eye on your car. Same thing happened to another member here. Car was found intact, a few days later, jacked again. Basically, they steal your car, park it somewhere, then wait to see if you have lojack or something similar. When the coast is clear again, bam. You're car is jacked... once more.

Re: (fowler)
that is totally what they were trying to do... i mean who parks the car in daylight near townhomes? they obviously were trying to come back at night to take it to a chop shop of some sort...
either that or they couldnt get the car started again... cuz now the car wont start...

Re: (BauleyCivic)
yeah i remember that post... he was from CP right?
that was truly a shame...
the cop i talked to today said that they caught some thieves that were wanted in 3 states for stealing cars... but thieves keep popping up like roaches...
im never gonna drive my car around... just around my neighborhood...

Haha, no award needed (all though I wouldn't mind having a cool title or something ). I am just glad I could help out finding someones stolen car. I always think about how cool it would be to actually recover someones stolen car and I finally got my chance I am just glad everything turned out good.

Re: (B2FiNiTY)
Good job !!!!
This is what happened once.
There was a stolen MX-6 parked in front of my house, then there was a cop knocking on my door and asked for my garage to hide is car... so i said sure...
Then they waited those thefts to come back and caught them !!
It was so exciting !!
I even asked him HOW he knows they are coming to get the car.
He said "One of them told us"
wow... undercover !!
cool !!
good job guys !!
