Got scammed buying an A/C kit
Some guy sold it to me for $700 canadian. He had crashed his R and told me he had the kit removed. I went to the dealer and they said I may as well buy a new one because there are many smalelr pieces missing. Is the dealer full of poop or did I really get f-cked? Anyone want to take this off my hands? I'll take the best offer.

I can already tell that you're missing the wiring harness, as well as many smaller screws and brackets and the ac belt.
I have my AC out of my car right now and I'll take some pictures for you to compare.

You still need the wiring harness, power relays, evaporator, condensor fan, diode, and dash button. No reason you would have to buy a "whole new kit" to get these parts but yea, you definetly got ripped off if that was sold as a "complete" system. You should have asked what was included and done your homework.
If you are interested in a complete system I have one for sale.

I recently purchased a 2001 Canadian-spec Type R without A/C and it turned out to be a very expensive project.
US Acura no longer supplies the complete A/C kit for the Type R. Individual A/C components and parts are still available, but the kit has been discontinued.
I purchased my Type R A/C kit from a dealer in Canada for a "cool" sum of $1300. I know, the price sucks. But if you're thinking of buying a used A/C system stripped off a Type R, good luck. Take a look at the parts list.
However, the kit is complete with every bolt, fastener and bracket needed to retrofit a 98-01 Type R that didn't come with Factory A/C. This really only applies to Canadian models, since the US Type R's had standard factory air after 1998.

Danny ITR, I can tell you're missing a major component....the evaporator i believe. Anyways, I just installed a used A/C from a 94 Integra on my 2001 ITR. The parts were cheap...$400 Canadian, but installation was $1100!! And acutally, several shops refused to install it saying it was too much of a headache, so I feel $1500 total is not bad. A new installed kit was quoted to me for $2500 Canadian.
