Someone calculate compression for me?
Done many searches on Google and H-T and cant find the info Im looking for to calculate compression. I just want to know what my compression ratio will be when im done building my mini-me. Y8 block with LS rods and d16a1 pistons, port and polished z6 head milled .020!! I want to make sure this is feasable on Cali 91 octane
i thought a mini-me was a vtec head on a non-vtec block???? like the ls-vtec but with dsieries parts.

this one is good. i don't know how much help it will be with a milled head to find cr. the one on c-speedracing.com is only a b series calculator. i tried it and it was like 9.8 but i really couldn't find out how to put the .020 mill into the equation.

This one has got to be off. Without the mill it says a z6 head and y8 block with p29 pistons is 12.4:1. That sounds a little high.....
On this calculator, which value do I change to incorporate the .020 mill?

i come up with 12.76:1 using:
Y8 HG - 0.037"
Z6 head - 34.6cc
P29 pistons - 7.2cc - piston to deck clearance - 0.040" - 0.020" for mill = 0.020"
12.35:1 using an A6 HG - 0.048"
Y8 HG - 0.037"
Z6 head - 34.6cc
P29 pistons - 7.2cc - piston to deck clearance - 0.040" - 0.020" for mill = 0.020"
12.35:1 using an A6 HG - 0.048"

You need to cc the head and the top of the piston, also the gasket cc is needed, and if the piston stick out of the bore above the deck you will have to get a dial indicator and rotate engine so that piston is down a set amount and then calculate that into your CR formula, etc etc
