Hearing Sounds from the Rear Suspension
I have been noticing some slight pings and rattles from the rear suspension area when going over bumbs. I've checked everything out and everything seems fine and everything is tight. I think it may be the spring (or helper spring) settling or rattling slightly. I have pillow ball mounts.
Any other ideas as to what it may be? Is this normal or should I pull them out and do a better inspection?

i had apexi n1's. they made the same noise you are referring to also. i never could find out what it was though. after a while, i got used to it.
hey flux, did you ever find out what was causing this problem ?
I'm experiencing the same sounds, but it only happens with I hit bumps on the passenger side. It's annoying the hell out of me.

I had some noise coming from my suspension. It turnd out that the radio wasn't turned up enough. Honest.
Also if yu put the rear panel on (between the rear seats and hatch) it muffles the noises.

Are you sure? Clunking from that area would require the trailing arm hitting the frame... and those bushings would really be torn the f**k up and probably make the car handle really funny.... i seriously doubt that one.
When did you start noticing this noise? Are your lugs tight?

and the # is?
I've decided that the noise is just a result of the stiff springs and dampers I have put on the car. I have been driving around without the rear panel in and that did make it more noticeable. The noises are only at slow speed driving up a parking garage really...

sorry... to read up on it and see if if I could have the same problem. I thought all service bulletins had #'s on them. easier to locate if we had the number.

I have the same problem, a clucking noise in the rear when going over bumps or a rough surface. Still can't figure it out. H&R race springs might be the problem.
i get the same thing with h&r race/koni sports on my gsr. had apexi ws coilovers on my si and it was worse. turning the stereo up a little is my solution as both were installed perfectly...but like the other guy said its worse in the parking garages for some reason?

He is right. I took my car to West End to get an alignment today and Darin told me that it is one of the control arms that gets loose, because it has a ball joint that wares down and makes noise. Specialty Products has a bushing made of rubber to replace it and it last longer.
I thought it was my TEINS
If you don't know about West End do a search

Uhm... if its a LCA bushing that has nothing to do with the trailing arm bushing. Those wear, but even at 186,000 miles they havent failed on my integra. Worn, but they're not flopping around.
Since when did Rear LCA's have balljoints anyways?

I saw with my own eyes, with his one hand how he moved it back and forth ( not alot it was a slight movement ) and it made the noise I keep hearing when I park my car or when I would go up a driveway slowly. Its annoying.
I never said it was LCA its one of the arms. Sorry if I don't know the proper word for the part.
I saw and heard what was causing the noise, but I don't know which one it is.
I was sitting in the car on the lift.
He said it wasn't a big deal but if the noise bugs me he can replace it.
I trust Darin.
Darin has many years and expieriance in his field. He even does the alignments for MOTOREX SKYLINES, SYLVIAS,ect.... ect....
If you want to see one of his customers CAR who is envolved in track racing here is a link for you to see. It is a very nice car and Darin sets up the suspension tuning for it.

Well you said control arm.. and we're talking about the rear.. so that implies rear LCA.
Which bushing is it though? Could it be the toe control link also? If it is the rear trailing arm bushings i'm very suprised, it would require alot of free play before they start making noise given the design of the bushing.
