here's some pics of my kit i made in one day, it is really fast and spools incredibly nice and at 5500rpms on my stock b16 with s1 tranny. running 7 psi with stock injectors and a 12:1 fmu, i have the safc hack with 440cc's ready to go on though. I started last saturday at around noon and had it running good by 11pm, not bad considering i made the manifold, flanges, piping, and installed it all that day. It's really fast, i was sort of surprised how hard it hits all of the sudden.

Setup includes
1/4" think steel manifold $60
kkk26 turbo $25
dsm sidemount intercooler $20
audi external wastegate $12
dsm B.O.V. $30
2" piping w/ couplers $50
oil and coolant lines and fittings $30
dsm injectors $50
gaskets, oil, and misc. $100 (over exhagerating)
total= under $350

pretty nice set-up, and for under $350 is great. where'd you find the parts u needed so cheap? i'm planning on a homemade set-up myself. what does the kkk26 turbo come off of anyways? a 5500 rpm spool does seem really high though.

5500 is perfect, if it were any lower it would be spinning the tires non-stop. the turbo isn't really that small(in comparisson to your typical chrysler or subaru turbo that i'm used to seeing on junkyard setups.) It's off of a late 80's early 90's audi sedan. the car in the background is my girlfriends.

 

yeah what model and yr audi's can you find those externals on.?? they look nice....

 

damn your setup is soo pimp you even got the side exit dumptube coming out the front bumper. i have the exact same turbo sitting here in my room , i was gonna use it on my gsr until i decided to get a typical t3/t4 but yea mad props for using that turbo and that wastegate.

thanks for the compliments. i believe it was a 1990 audi 5000. i like the wastegate as well! I agree that she has great taste, her last car was a crx w/ a full kit and a b16. the teg has a b16 in it and is most likely going to be turbo soon as well!

 

Did you make the manifold with schedule 40 pipe?

yeah, it's all schedule 40 steel weld elbows from a plumbing supply store. I love ghetto style as well, funtion over fasion right.lol here's another ghetto style car that belongs to my friend evilxkid.

i got one of those audi externals they are 30mm and u can adjust them to do like 5psi also..
