AEM Wideband!!!!!!!!
awe crap. I just got my techedge.
After a serious amount of development work, AEM will proudly display our new Twin Channel UEGO Controller starting tomorrow at SEMA's International Auto Salon in Los Angeles.
But AEM EMS Forum members get an advance look at the info.
Key Features:
Available with 1 or 2 independent UEGO channels
Includes 1 (or 2) Bosch LSU 4.2 UEGO O2 sensors
Uses Bosch interface circuitry for absolutely correct implementation
Each UEGO channel has 2 outputs, 0-5 volts and 1-0 volts (mimics narrow range output)
Operates with battery voltages as low as 9 volts
Very compact 3"x1"x2" (less than half the size of a pack of smokes!)
The price will be announced after the show but let me just say that it's the first reasonably priced UEGO amplifier/sensor combo on the market. It will be significantly less than any comparable unit.
This is it. Finally a UEGO that makes sense. Don't pay $250 for a sensor and then shell out an additional $400 for the controller!

looks nice but I bet it'll be expensive. I don't know where you have to pay $250 for a sensor but I bet the techedge and getting your own O2 sensor will still be much less than this. It's a nice unit and AEM does have quality stuff but in my mind it's never cheap. I'm guessing $650+. I could be wrong but the techedge is a great deal. I know the NTK sensor has recently jumped in price but that is very recent, they could be had for $120 before and a lot less if you had connections or good timing and now that the the techedge is going to support the Bosch sensor very soon you'll be able to get another sensor very reasonably priced.

i doubt the controller will be that expensive. They already pointed out that they will make it less than 400. I'm betting you can get the controller and sensor on the low side of 300.
Definately a nice alternative to the techedge 2.0. But the techedge will probably be cheaper by 100 or so if you can assemble it yourself. Now if AEM or Techedge would come out with something with a VFD display, I'd be all over that!

can't wait to see how much this will cost compared to techedge or diy-wb. im sittin here staring at my NTK L1H1 wondering if i will hafta sell it if i can't afford a wb setup.
they are about exactly a month out on the item price range given by them was 400-500 us dollars. They havent given a fixed price just yet. waiting for the actualy units to be tested and working correctly.
I went to the AEM tuner training a couple weeks ago. I didn't want to let too much info out because AEM had not set anything in stone just yet. They had all the Widebands, and they basically improved on each one. Price should be even less than $400, and will be as accurate as the NTK.
like i said one week we ordered about 15 of these right now if anyone needs aem units still we can hook up a great price till may 1st then AEM price strucutre is locked no more major hookup discounts

the first bunch of units WONT have diplays as its really aimed at ems users who will most likely have a laptop with them while using it tune.
BUT i beleive they are will be working on a display for future ones.

My biggest PITA has been getting the EMS to properly read the A/F values, it is hella tough to get the FJO unit display to match with the EMS. The EMS only reads 0-3V so won't it still need to be calibrated in the EMS with another W02? Or does AEM have some trick up their sleeves?
