Default Kakimoto R EF8 Exhaust!

Has anybody ever used a Kakimoto R exhaust on their CRX? Look at the following links:

http://www.kakimotoracing.co.j...HS319
http://www.kakimotoracing.co.jp/image_HS319.html

to translate from Japanese to English use:

Any info would be appreciated.

Mark

There is a US distributor for Kakimoto, and theres even a USDM Kakimoto website...however I forgot both, lol. I was gonna use thier downpipe and exhaust on my S13, but sold her before I got around to SR20 it...

I believe http://www.BoomPlusToys.net/ is a distributor. They quoted me over $500 for the Kakimoto system, a few months back. It's one of the few 60mm for EFs. If you guys want I can post some pics of the exhaust later, forgot my we-todd-did-racing.com password.

Does anyone have any pics of the exhaust besides the drawing on the site? It looks pretty sweet!

RS Akimoto was/is a US based company...

I just got an email back from Boom Plus Toys. The Kakimoto catback for the CRX is $639. I'm not sure if it it's worth paying $200 more than Greddy or Themal.

I guess it depends on whether you want 50mm or 60mm piping... The GReddy is only 50mm, and I believe the Thermal is as well... another exhaust with 60mm piping for our cars is Espelir... not too sure if anyone has had experience with these...they are a bit cheaper than the Kakimoto...

Greddy DOES make 60mm piping (Greddy MX system), but for the crx. It will fit the Civic - all you need to do is have a straight extension pipe made to go btwn the B-pipe & rear section; the length being 7.5" - I had one made with flanges for $40 (at hybridgarage online).
Price for the exhaust was $473 shipped from groupbuycenter.com
