BEFORE
AFTER
Here are the changes that were made to make the after...
New sparkplug wires, new fuel pump, new fuel pressure gauge, custom mandrel bent 2 1/4 exaust w/ 2 1/2 cat/resonator/muffler, 99-00 civic SI CAI and ITR cams
Okay okay, I also got it dyno'd after i JUST added 99-00 civic SI CAI and exaust, I put down 163whp
Im curious as to how the car would dyno in w/ vtec hitting in at 5k...

long time no see bro
looks like you're makin progress. I still think you need to be high whp for b20/vtec.
your vtec xover point is wayy high.
Lower that baby to 4800-5000 RPM ish like Evil GSR has stated.
What layer headgasket you have? you still runnin a 3 layer?

Okay, here is my setup....
car that this is in- 89 CRX HF... sleeper
93 B16 2nd gen head, STOCK except for ITR cams
98 USDM ITR intake manafold
00 JDM ITR throttle body
97 USDM ITR exaust manafold (I cant wait to get a header)
00 JDM B20B block, totally stock, ground out valve reliefs approx 3mm
99-00 AEM Civic SI cold air intake (battery still up front)
Magnacore spark plug wires
NGK spark plugs
custom 2 1/4" mandrel bent piping w/ 2 1/2" carsound cat, magnaflow muffler, magnaflow resonator, looks STOCK sounds very quite, and is straight through.
blown90hatch's obd0-obd1 ecu converter harness
my personal obd1-obd0 distributor converter harness (dont have to repin dizzy
)
bone stock OBD-1 PR-3 ecu (factory vtec crossover really is 5800)
Skunk2 cam gears (havent touched them, heads not milled)
AEM fuel rail
AEM FPR (fuel pressure regulator)
Autometer FPG (fuel pressure gauge)
Autometer OPG (oil pressure gauge)
Walbro Fuel pump 255LPH
Tech43 LS/CRvtec oil line
JDM 93 XSi B16 cable YS1 tranny
Stock B16 clutch
90-93 integra half shaft
90-93 integra pepboys axles (they work great)
ARP head studs torqued to 66ft/lbs
Mobil 1 10w30 synthetic motor oil
redline tranny fluid
Stock B20/LS water pump
Stock B20/LS timing belt
Stock 3 layer b20 head gasket
HAsport mounts(pretty nice mounts)
HAsport A/C bracket(yes im running a/c)
approx theoretical compression= 9.96:1
Compression test= 220 across all 4
not swap related- Since I had a HF, I needed to change out the knucles, I just went with 90-93 integra knucles and they went on without a hitch. I had absolutely no "strange" alignment problems when my car got aligned. Its straight as an arrow, also upgraded Master cylider to 91 EX 15/16th's
Jeff is the man when it comes to tuning, he gained me over 25whp in my midrange w/ my fpr and timing. I HIGHLY recommend Jeff to anyone who wants to get the most power out of their motor.
I think thats my complete setup. Feel free to ask any questions, ill do my best to answer.

why the heck are you using a stock 19 tooth water pump - you should have the 22 tooth one on if you rev past 7k!?!?!
your coolant spped is going to be wayyyyy to fasts to actually cool past 7000rpm, just when you need it most>!>!>!
i would recommend fixing this asap...

sorry, now for my real response,
i have B20VTEC with stock 1st gen b16a cams,
my VAFC is tuned to come in at 4300 and there is NO dip in the curve like yours...
the larger displacement needs the VTEC to come in earlier as the engine is 'undercammed'
the top of your curve looks good too...
i have 4-1 ITR headers to a 2.5 cat, 2.5 resonator and 2.25 exhaust, this gained me 0.5 seconds on the 1/4 mile (now doin 14.4's at 97mph) over the stock B16A manifold and cat converter...
i also have cam gears tuned, you seem not to? i gained some 10kw on the dyno with gears alone, including midrange... i have a 1mm milled head too (which is why gears were necesary)
what are your A/F's running at past VTEC? richer than 12.5???
looks like a sound setup - you have me mystified by hte water pump though ?

at least you know what you are talking about
you have lots of potential in a CRX...
header, then cam gears, then VAFC plus tunes along the way...

Imma go with hondata S100 system
when my water pump wears out ill convert to gsr w/ gsr timing belt.
Im running 10:1 compression, so im not murdering those rod bolts.

those #'s arent 1/2 bad. get that ho tuned .. there is more in that motor
on the last b20vtec i tuned it made 181 hp and 135tq. the bottom end is completly stock, with a stock 1st gen b16 head, ctr cams, 99-00 si intake manifold, jdm dc 4-1 header and a cheap *** short ram intake. the tq peaks at 4800 rpms and stays at 135 ftlbs from 4800 to 7000 rpms
with the ctr cams it likes vtec at 4100 -4200 depending on how cold it is outside... its tuned w/an aem ems, and it getts 30+mpg around town
gettin headwork and itb's soon

i am not the best at reading dyno charts- but it seems to me that the xover should be at 5300ish. am i wrong? it looks to me like that's where the points cross on the chart so I would imagine that would be the smoothest xover for vtec.....

I would not recomend IB to anyone I had a very bad experience with jeff
till this day he still has not fixed my car and I spend over 4 thousand dollars on my b16 and all I made was like 153 whp and now my car does not even drive and when I e-mailed him so that he could take care of my problem he tells me that I have to make an appointment cuz he has a long like of cars to work on and I have been waiting for over a month
worst service ever

Nice numbers for a stock block.
Kinda out there, but are you gunna make anymore of those obd1-obd0 distributer harnesses? They're pretty damn nice. I'll be in need of one by the end of next month, so let me know.

I wouldnt know because I never had a b16 block in a crx.[/QUOTE]
How much does you car weigh??

lol jeff, no no... I just say that because I feel people tend to exagerate times drasticly...
my car, in stock form weighs 1837. With the new motor, approx 80 lbs more.
