How do these two wastegates compare?

 

don't know anything about the turbosmart, so i can't say. But the Tial is always

 

Tial quality is the best I have seen from aftermarket components. From their bov's to their wastegate's the materials, quality and precision is amazing. Turbosmart stuff looks very nice, but I have no experience with it.

 

Word on the street is they are about the same performance wise.

Well im purchasing a turbo kit, and I want to know ahead of time if i should upgrade it.

yeah definately.....wrestler chose the turbosmart because of the clearance issues with his inlinepro manifold but the quality of both look about the same

 

Should i really upgrade my Deltagate wastegate to a tial? How much does the tial and the turbosmart run?

Me personally i am going Tial because i know it works. Then again if we didnt have people who try new things everyone would have the same setups on their cars also!

 

Turbosmart WGs are commonly used over here New Zealand there good, probably on par with Tial. I have only used there boost controllers before myself but have been very happy with them.

My mechanic prefers Turbosmart buts says he has had problems with them as well as all the major wastegate manufacturers including Tial..

 

someone mentioned that inlinepro is using turbosmart 35mm on their 9sec car

 

I have the turbosmart, and it is pretty nice. The reason I chose it was because the base is cast stainless steel, while tial is just cast steel. Atleast thats what they told me when I was ordering. Does anyone know if its true?

 

i have turbosmart, works great, no creeping. got to love how compact it is. i recommend

TiAL all the way, it's funney that i just found out the TiAL is like 10min from my place weird

 

Has anyone ever done a comparison between wastegates (deltagate vs. tial vs. turbosmart) to see which produces more power? I'm sure they both hold boost fine (not necessarily the deltagate, but I know my tial does) but I'm curious to see the power differences (if any).
