Default Options other than FI to make a GSR faster

What are the other options ( for the same amount of money!!!) to make a stock GSR faster than dropping a turbo or a super charger? Or Forced induction is the best bang for the buck??

Please consider the day to day driving, fun factor also!!!!

get some ITR cams. Iwth some tunig you should get some decent gains. In the long run though. FI will yeild better gains for teh cash IMO. NA is expensive if you want big numbers

for starters go pick yourself up an aftermarket intake, they're cheap considering how much bang for your buck you get

NOS, best gains for the buck...shave off as much as 1.0+ sec of a 1/4 mile....its safe too....

its recommended by F&F crew....isn't that say anything...

all factor in what kind of driving you will be using your new found speed for. Liek drag, auto-x, road racing. Because out of those three you will only be able to use N20 for drag.

Personally N20 is the best bang for your buck no matter what anyone will say. However, liek anything else, you must tune your car so that when you squeeze your fuel will meet teh requirements and needs of N20.

I wouldnt buy unless i was into drag racing. And im not i will never have it in my car.

Spend teh cash on a new suspension and tires. that will make your just as fun to drive and you wont have to worry about melting your valves

Toda B valvetrain kit and gears = $1800
DC JDM 4-1 header = $350
JDM ITR pistons (w/ rings) = $380
Skunk2 IM = $300
Chipped ECU to 9000rpm redline (varies) ~ $160

I assume you have an intake and exhaust

So roughly $3000 and you will be fast. You must tune it though. You should be surpassing 200whp with a port and polish and bigger TB.

That's about a turbo right there. Of course $3000 will only pay for the turbo and install but not the necessary internals to up the boost. You'd have to stay around 7psi without forged pistons , crank etc.

So NA isn't that much more than FI, but you'll plateau around 200whp and is very expensive to get past that. With FI, just up the boost as long as the engine can handle it.
