Autometer (mechanical) oil pressure gauge install?????????
I did a search but the results weren't of too much help. I bought an Autometer oil pressure gauge and I need help on how to install it. I know I have to "T" the oil pressure switch on the back of the block. But I'm not sure what I'm going to need to install it correctly. If someone could tell me EXACTLY what I need it would be great! Can I buy all the thing needed at a hardware store? Thanks.Any help will be appreciated.

search, and make sure in the process of putting it in you dont crimp you line, cause then it'll be a biatch to get to the oil pressure sender in the block w/ short lengths...

Re: (drumking15)
oh, and those plastic lines they give you suck. after breaking off a chunk of my block trying to remove a brass fitting from that port(whatever) i finally got my oil sandwich adapter in and hooked up my oil pressure gauge through an SS line(-4AN) and it is alot more responsive and accurate i think. i have the elect. one though, so you may have to run the line all the way to the gauge so you would have to use that plastic hose if you had the mech. one.
