Got some pics uploaded (brake ducts & gages)
I installed some brake ducts & oil/water temp gages over the winter here are some pics:

^^ I just cut 2 big holes in the fog light covers (I didn’t have fog lights), then drilled 4 small holes around each big hole. The small holes were for the zip ties, which hold the tubing on nice and tight. The 2 tubes that come off the fog light cover just mate up at a Y-connecter about 6" down. Then a single tube makes its way to the back of the rotors.

^^ This is what it looks like from the front. Just 2 holes nothing fancy.

^^ I used lots of zip ties to keep the tube right up next to the bottom of the car.

^^ the tube going to the back of the rotor

^^ the coolant and oil temp gages that I mounted in the center dash.

^^ My engin, just thought I would through that in

looks real good buddy. how much did the ducting run you? where from
looks pretty good So your running the tubes from the drivers side and splitting them off to the pass side?

It’s a Genesis Battery. (12v, 16 amp-hrs) It was about $70 with shipping, but I forget were I got it, do a web search and I’m sure you will find something. I have had it for over a year, and it starts the car every time. It’s only 13lbs also
That neat plexiglass battery holder did not come with it though, I made that myself.Trending Topics

gages are from Auto meter for coolant temp and oil temp. I like to keep an eye on those when on track. All you need is a 2" hole saw for the dash and a Dremel for cutting the air ducts under them. The wiring is EZ, also if you know anything about wiring. That center dash piece just pops out, go take yours out and have a look, you will see what I mean.

I went to an autocoss this weekend and they didn't say anything at the local event. They don’t help anyway for autocross were your brakes never really get that hot anyway. I’m using them for HPDE were my brakes were getting too hot. In fact it might even hurt some in autocross because your brakes don’t get up to temp as fast. Anyway, I have 2 extra fog light covers without the holes that I can swap in if they tell me that are not legal.

I have the exact same Genesis battery sitting in my living room waiting to go in. What else do you have holding it in the battery tray? Is there anything bracing it on the sides? Or is it only held upright by the plexi sheet on top?
Andrew
Andrew
just the plexi sheet on top is holding it in, but I really titened it down good. It will not move at all, it's acually in better than the stock battery was.

Hmmm... the tech-inspectors in my SCCA region are pretty **** (in a good, safety conscious way
). I don't think they would let me pass like that. Did you try fitting it in the factory battery tray laid flat (i.e. on its side)? I think I'm going to try to mount it like that this weekend if I can figure a way to tie it down that way...

Trust me it does not move what so ever (the battery)... I have been to many SCCA events and they allways look that over. They even hit it with there hands real hard to try to make it move or shift, but it never moves, not even 1 mm. I'm telling ya it's in there very very tight. Then they just say, welp that's not going anywere then give me my sticker

ya.. I thought about that, but I don't have any problem seeing them as they are now, so I'm just going to leave them as is. It's not any harder than looking over at your clock, or CD player, wich is over in the middle consol but not at an angle
