With all of the talk about the cutting of the rear plastic pieces... I decided to post some pics of my boo-boo.
See...
The way "not" to cut the plastic...
This is the way...
A different view of the bar...

If you ordered the Mugen bar the install is different. Take the necessary measurements and then take the rear quarter panels out of your car and do the cutting with a razor knife. Score the plastic and then bend it to remove it. That will give the cleanest cut.
That is what I did on my ITR and it worked well.
A dremel tends to leave rough edges.

The panel to replace that only costs about $12 from Acura. I know because I broke the #$@#$ tabs on mine trying to remove it to reinistall the bar after Nationals.

Not yet... I have not been able to push the car hard.
I will be attending a driving school next month. I will drive with it hooked up and then unfasten it to see if there is a different feeling. I do not think the improvements will be noticed as much on street tires. "R" compound tires would stress the car a bit more therefore showing the differences better.
I will also try to rig up "movement marking device" that will "hopefully" show movement. I will leave one side hooked up, and release the other. Have some sorta marking device that will show max movement in both directions.

You don't need to remove the panels for the mugen bar. Just use a Dremel. It comes with the rubber trim so you're not going to see the cut anyways.
Butt dyno wise - I noticed more tire squealage from the back end with the bar during very hard street driving (there is a street in front of the building I work in that is essentially a giant decreasing radius sweeper - and it is VERY wide. Since my building is the only one, you can look out across the grass "apex" of the corner to make sure there isn't any other traffic/children/whatever to hit and let it out if it is clear). But that have just been me trying to find some improvement. I plan to take it in and out a few times at the Expo to get a better idea of whether or not it is really helping.
- looking forward to Williards results!

I like to use the clovers at Alma and Jupiter using GWB for the straits. It's like a free race track! No one ever there. Well maybe not any more
Those bars seem to have a problem. The brackets are so long and thin looking. They use fasteners at the stress points. Are they rigid enough???

Digital-R,
For the Mugen bar install, the good news is you won't have to cut those covers at all.

The bad news is that you will have to cut some pieces of the actual plastic trim below the covers because the mugen bar is much more beefy and goes straight across from the attachment points. I'd suggest the entire Mugen kit, btw.
Sway bars and upper strut tower bars together.
Willard,
can you scan the template ? I somehow lost the template and still have mine uncovered,...
if anyone else has a template to cut the cover panel, please either post it or email it to me
