2000 Phoenix Yellow Type R for Sale

Well, I really do not want to sell my R, but I have recently moved to Brooklyn and have no where to keep my car. It is currently sitting at my sisters in NJ and has not been driven in a few months so I have decided to sell it. I purchased the car in Tampa, FL in February 2000 where I used it as a daily driver and for driving schools. The car has never been drag raced and no engine modifications except an air intake. The car is in perfect condition except for the emblems got jacked. I have OEM replacement emblems, but have not installed in order to avoid having my car violated again. I performed regular oil changes on the car with Mobile 1, adjusted the values regularly, flushed the brake and clutch fluid regularly, replaced rotors, and of course washed and waxed it. I am offering the car in two configurations, one with my extra parts and one without. Below are the details.

Since I am in Brooklyn, I can only show the car on weekends and will only be in NJ one or two weekends a month. So please be serious about buying and have payment ready.

- Comes with speed bleeders (since I don’t feel like removing them)

Yeah, I'll miss being at the Chin events. I am being worked to death up here 7 days a week / 15hr days with no lunch or dinner breaks. Freaking sucks. I have been tempted to hop in my R and shoot down to an event. Nothing VTEC can't cure.

i am verry into the teg R's 21g with all you list is that firm??? i think i have seen them go for bout 18g. Looking into buying 1. I will for sure have 1 with in the next year

 

just out of curiousty, u had no modification and never races the car, but you had speed bleeders, racing harness, and strut bars?

 

driving schools = track time?

 

you have a freaking roll cage but it's not race car hummm??? are all these parts brand new ??? have they ever been installed??? and allso your asking to much!!! lol lates have fun with the rip off

This car is far from a race car that he is selling. It simply has an Autopower 4pt roll bar in it right now and he said he could take it out if the buyer wishes. You would never know it was even there. It is only for protection while doing driving schools. After all that is what the R is for..performance driving right? Why not do it in a safe environment.

This car is clean as hell at that price. I know that for a FACT.

 

what i am trying to say is #1 it's over priced #2 if it has roll cage the car has been pushed to it's limit alot, wich i don't want!!!!!! and for 20 g for a 2000 that has been fuged with is not worth it to me. thats just how i feel bout it

Type R is meant to be driven. If people are going to whine about having it pushed it to the limits at a HPDE, they do not know what type R is about, and shouldn't bother with one.

As long as it's been proper maintenaned, it will last over 100k miles easily. Try going to the ITR forum. There are numerous ITR's with 10+ track events over 100k miles still running strong.

$21,000 with all those mods is a very fair price. Heck, if you sell the car in stock form, I'd be interested in the wheel/tire combo separately.

lol what ever lol you say. i can get 2001 right now for 18g. more then 1 2001's going for 18g. seems little to high from what i have been researchin. i don't pay for other peeps mods just not going to happen. If you ask me if it was left alone and not messed with (stock) it's worth more to me.

I did buy the R to take it to some driving schools/track events. It would be a shame not to. As for a rollbar/harness - haven't some people heard of safety? If you get a blowout or something out of your control happens, I'd rather wreck the R and walk away pissed then end up dead. If someone does not think it is a fair price then that's fine, but showing you immaturity is not appreciated. I used to post more here, but got tired of stuff like this. The R is met to be driven and that is not synonymous with abuse. Power shifting and adding lots power to the engine putting stress on other parts is a lot more abusive then simply driving a car around a track which only really wears out your tires and brakes.
