Default FS soon: 99 Civic Si complete b16a2 head, 43k miles

completely stock b16 head off USDM 99 Civic Si. Never been messed with at all (nothing taken off or put in) and only 43k of nice <8,000 RPM driving. Works great and run with synthetic oil only. Asking 700 + shipping, pics soon.

Post if you are insterested or have questions/better offer.

yeah sorry i should have mentioned that. I got a sweet deal on an sir2 head with full type-r valvetrain, ported, polished, milled, etc. I don't like doing any internal engine work myself so I found a nice new head to save me time and money. My curent head is in great shape so I figured I'd keep it around unless someone made me a decent offer.

^^My new head^^

I would sell it for 700 to the first person that took the offer. Only 43K on a USDM b16 head is pretty nice. It hasn't been horridly abused in Japan than ripped out and sold in US. In fact it's been driven (slowly) by skinny white boy who loves his car. Car runs great (not fast enough for my liking obviously), so any daring LS VTEC swappers can be sure this is 100% percent stock never fucked with never taken off car head. If I had more mechanical testosterone I would have kept my head and spent money on an LS block, but head swap seemed simpler. It won't be off of my car for a week or two, so I can get better pictures then. Just wanted to see if anyone was interested???

Go GSR head.
why

b16 has better airflow, and better combustion.

Incorrect kids. Read up before you guys actually post.

The GSR and B16 head flow the same. Actually, the GSR flows a bit better.

And a GSR head will raise compression due to the shape of the combustion chamber.

So, it actually has "better combustion" than the b16.

Beat me to it! P72 head will outlfow PR3 on the flowbench any day of the week. GSR also has smaller combustion chambers which will give you higher compression.

Right, Thats why fowler said a "Little Bit" better. He was just informing the earlier posts that had said buy a B16 head because it will flow better

this is the reason why i am build my gsr motor for n/a instead of the b16 in my car right now, i mean what other motor can you use all oem internals w/just a headgasket and run cr =11.7

I sure hope a completely stock head hasn't been reved over 8k, you'd slap some valves and pistons together. Isn't stock redline 8k, so how could it have been reved over?
