i dunno what the hell to do.

if it isn't one thing its gotta be another.

i put my car away for the winter. covered in my driveway. yesterday i washed it and started it up for the first time in a few months.

today i go outside and start it again so the battery stays charged and whatnot.

i decide to turn on the fan. i heard some grinding and clicking and i was like wtf! so i turned it up to full power and a bunch of pieces of acorns came flying out everywhere.

what do i do to fix this? how to i clear all the debris from the blower or heater motor thing.

i'm a newb to this sort of thing.

to goddamn squirrels!!

Anyway, I had a similar problem, you can see what I did opening up the blower core

seriously. there was so much stuff in there. i'm sure there's some more little hideouts here and there. i wonder if all that lint was in there all the time. if so, its a good idea for everyone to do it. it prolly makes the air a little more healthy to breathe.

 

its called mice. You should have seen what my parents had crammed in their Camry's intake silencer piping. Needless to say the car wasnt getting much air at all.

i had a blown up red cx sitting in my yard for around a year before i actually decided to throw a motor in it, cause i allready have a white one swapped...

when i pulled the cover off the car there were clothes in it. not my clothes either.

i come to find out that this guy from the high school right up the road from my house slept in my car every night for a week when he got kicked out of his house.

the bastid didn't even pay rent!

You should take the dash out and clean ALL the vents out. I bet you'll find some interesting stuff.

When I got my 1989 Civic HB, the fan would always run slow and make alot of noise. So I decided to replace it one day. It truns out there was nothing wrong with the fan. It was just thrown off balance by a mummified dead mouse!

 

holy **** dude neva seen anything like that. worse ive seen was a birds nest inside an engine bay of a toyo camery under the filter box

 

yeah i found 2 bird skeletons when i took off the rock sheild to install CAI. guess they flew in while i was flying on the highway thru the lude's wide open grill. glad they didnt hit the radiator...

 

Yeah, its a old thread, but stil the funniest thread I've ever seen, cept maybe for the bug named spoon in that guy's car, but squirrels in the car is cool.

 

reminds me of the time i left my car at home for like 5 months, went out and drove it and when i came back, it smelled a little funny. Some mouse set up shop between my radiator and a/c condensor and got toasted and crunchy. I reached in to pick him out by the tail and it broke off. haha.

what is the best way to get to the blower to clean it out?
do you have to take the hole dash out?
