My 96 GS-R has 116k on it and I was wondering what kind of maintence I should do on it so that I can be sure it will last another 116k?
should I change the belts, spark plugs, water pump, altanator, ect. ect.
What are common problems for integras with that kind of mileage?
thanks for your help.......Chris

It depends what maintenance have you done previously. Look out for
Timing Belt
Water Pump
All Related Seals
Valve Adjustment
Tensioner Pulley
Drive Belts
Spark Plugs, cap, rotor, wires, distributor (hopefully not anytime soon)
altenator (still good?)
The shop I work at usuall does the entire tune up for around $550-600 using all honda parts.
Ummm, for 116k, there usually aren't too many crazy problems that come up, you might want to check your compression, drain your coolant and the basic maintenance items.
If you decide to do the tune up yourself you're gonna learn a whole lot, but it isn't for the inexperienced.

thanks for your help man... I just bought the car as my daily beater and it already had about 114k on it.
Im not sure about what has been done to it in the past and I thought I would give it a full tune up just in case. The car runs great, but when its cold I can hear the belts wine a little bit.
I dont have to much experience turning the wrench but I plan on buying a helms and doing all the work myself (best way to learn is to do it) My friend who is ASE certified will be there to lend a helping hand though.

Looks like you've already been given a pretty exhaustive list, but i'd give the whole car a good inspection while you're at it. Inspect the cv boots (inner and outer), inpect the brakes (pads, rotors, lines) and i forget if he mentioned this or not, but you may also want to change your fuel filter out as well. But get the helms manual first, it is a very good supplement. It also has listed teh scheduled maintenance items as well. OH and the timing belt should have been changed out at 90k miles, but if it hasn't DO IT! and change the water pump while ur at it jus like the other guy recommended. Good luck.
