DYNO: B16 cams vs. GSR cams
i swapped in some GSR cams today in my b16. i dont have money to waste on a dyno, so i used my laptop to get a "ghetto dyno"
i wasnt expecting any gain, since they're supposed to shine for FI setups. however, i did see a small gain that i can enjoy until i go FI.
comments welcome.

nice to see you got alittle somethin out of them, try installing a ITR exhaust cam combined with boost... supposed to be beneficial for helping power production at higher levels from 8-15+ psi
i use a few components connected to my speedo sensor, and then connect it to my laptop's soundcard input. then i record it as a wav file, and process it with a program that tells me what frequency the sensor produces at what time, then i import the data into excel and apply a simple multiplier that converts frequency to mph, then use excel to graph the results.
thanks for the comments. the only reason i went GSR over type R is because of cost. i'm in the middle of buying my FI stuff and i was short on funds

looks like it does rofl
well i think people have done it various ways. my original plan was to make a real dyno chart in excel, but i didnt trust any formulas for hp and acceleration, so i kept it simple and accurate instead. there's really not much to it. i love how easy it is to make a run and see results.
