Default B18C Swap: What's the real deal with wiring and motor mounts?

I've searched and studied, but still have some things that need to be clarified. I have a JDM B18C swap on the way and need to have things ready to go BEFORE performing the swap.

1. Obviously (at least I hope it is obvious) the wires coming from the B18C are good to go. However, what wires do I need to add and where do I add them. It seems that the wiring in the car between the motor and the ECU is what needs to be changed. Is this true and if so, how?

2. Use B18C motor mounts. Don't use B18C mounts. Use D15 (stock) brackets. Don't use D15 brackets. What??? Which mounts and brackets do I use?

3. Where do you recommend I purchase replacables like shift linkage pin, cyl. head bolts, gaskets, etc.?

Thanks in advance. I really want the swap to go as quickly and smoothly as possible THE FIRST TIME so I'm trying to get everything sorted out ahead of time.

1. You will need to add a few plugs to your exsisting D-series engine harness. Follow those wires from the plug to the pin on the ecu.
VTEC Solenoid Yellow/Green A4
VTEC Oil Pressure Sensor Blue (passenger side harness) D6
VTEC Ground Black chassis ground
Knock Sensor Red/Blue D3
Evap Purge Power Yellow/Black 12V power (hot in ON or START)
Evap Purge Solenoid Red A20
Secondary Intake Solenoid Pink/Blue A17

2. Use b18c mounts...all of them.

3. Honda or Acura.

1. Just to make sure my brain is firing on all four, the D-series harness you are referring to is the section of wires that connects the motor to the ECU and NOT any wires actually originating from the motor or ECU? It is the bundle of wires between the two components, correct?

2. All B18C mounts, gotcha. Use all B18C brackets as well?

3. That's what I figured.

Thanks!

you can't use the JDM B18C engine wiring harness without a lot of work - all of the plugs are on the opposite side of the car - get a USDM GSR harness

First of all it would help if we knew what year and model of car you plan to swap the B18C into. Generally you will need to wire the VTEC Solenoid, VTEC pressure switch, Knock sensor, and IAB. All 92 models or any 92-95 VTEC models will not require the VTEC wiring and the VX and CX will require O2 sensor wiring as well.

2. Use B18C motor mounts. Don't use B18C mounts. Use D15 (stock) brackets. Don't use D15 brackets. What??? Which mounts and brackets do I use?
Again it would help to know what year Civic you are working with. 92-95 models use the 94-01 GSR driver's side mount and mount bracket, rear engine bracket and the lower front tranny bracket. You'll reuse your stock upper tranny bracket and mount. Get the Del Sol VTEC bracket to keep A/C or the Integra if you just need it for a stabalizer.
96-00 models would use a 99-00 Civic Si driver's side mount and mount bracket and rear mount bracket. Again you would reuse your stock upper tranny bracket and mount. Get the Del Sol VTEC bracket to keep A/C or the Integra if you just need it for a stabalizer.

3. Where do you recommend I purchase replacables like shift linkage pin, cyl. head bolts, gaskets, etc.?
Buy them directly from Honda/Acura whenever possible.
