Default Dyno of my new setup finally

blue is tuned
red is untuned

was only on the dyno for an hour. I think roughly 4-5 runs were made.

Well, I have put nearly 8k miles on the motor since I rebuilt it.

Various mods are:
itr cams 98 spec (for now)
itr lma's
itr outer/portflow inner
portflow ti retainers
rev SS flat faced valves
skunk2 intake manifold
j's racing intake
rc 310 injectors
jdm itr pistons
arp bolts in various places
comptech header
smsp cat
stock gsr exhaust
hondata S200
red line 10w-30
honda mtf
itr radiator
ats fd with comtech flywheel in R tranny

I am sure there is other stuff, but that is the main stuff

Rocket (robert) did the base map for me. Lawrence said that whoever did the base map knows their stuff. Rocket knew what mods I had and made a fuel/timing map for me.
It is neat with hondata that extensive tuning is not necessary to make good power.

Cam gears are set at 0,0 . Once I get a good header and exhaust I might have to change the gears. But for now since the tq curve is flat. It is not very necessary.

Since the dyno, I have replaced the fuel filter made a heat shield for the intake, and have run cold air ducting to the bumper.
I should be making a little more power now since the dyno.

hopefuly next time I hit the dyno, I will have better exhaust breathing. I am hoping to hit 190 with another 10-15k miles on the motor and 2 hours or so on the dyno.

time will tell.

Nice numbers. I can't wait to run my car on the Dyno and tune it.

yeah, i think it is pretty stupid that i many $k's woth of money in the setup, and stock exhaust.

I do like the sound level of it. with my azenis tires and ats fd. the car is prett loud on the freeway. I drive a lot during the day, and talk on the phone usually when i drive. I will be getting an exhaust and header soon. I just need to save up the extra god knows how much to get them. I am going to do the mods at the same time.

An hour worth of tuning at dsr is 185.

lawrence is a good individual very patient and knowledgable.
he is out to help people and make cars go faster. not just take their money.

The numbers seem low to me -- at what elevation was that done?

EDIT: Doh. Stock exhaust. I wonder how much thats restricting him? 10 whp?

that stock exhaust has to be withholding at least 10whp with the mods he currently has. throw on a 2.5" catback and 185-190 should be attainable.

good numbers

did u set ur timing to 18?
u should tuned ur cam gears (if u have them) and u would of easily attained 5 or so HP. u should be really close to 190 with a better header and exhaust like u said.
whats ur compression? what is ur vtec xover at? fuel pressure?

timing is at 18. he advanced the timing as much as he could in the hondata.
I have cam gears, but since tq curve was pretty flat, we just left them for next time. I would probably advance them both at least 1 or 2.
not sure exactly what compression.
something in the 11.5-.7 range. I have flat faces valves which I have not heard a definite answer on how much CR they add. something in the .1-.2 range Im guessing

x-over is at 5k. it was at 5.5k rpm. it didnt change the power that much, but it is more fun to drive because I am in vtec more often.

not sure about fuel pressure. I had a FPR but with the hondata it doesnt do much good. and besides with FPR's I heard it can cause some other problems.

remember this is with crappy cali 91 octane and power steering belt is still on.

damn, sweet numbers this should silence all those who think you can only get minimal gains w/ itr cams. on a stock exhaust too

You really think that an exhaust, despite his hardcore setup, could really free up 15-20 whp? Sounds sketch...I dont doubt that he could pull maybe 180 from it, but 190...? hmm. The numbers are still great however for a stocker exhaust

congrats man!

sounds like a good starting, or even a good finishing point (minus the gsr exhaust)

-dino

btw, the comptech header should still have my finger prints on it (middle 2 tubes)
for some reason, i remember grabbing the header right after i shut off the car....
it's my "signature"

I wouldn't do all that work to my GSR for 5-7 whp, sorry maybe my car is just strong, but then I don't want to call your car weak.

looks pretty good. the thing that sucks for me is that i could get my car dyno'd for free at school, but i dont have a car worth doing it too!
