Throttle cable bracket ?
Well I'm sure other people have ran into this, with the stock b16 bracket the throttle won't open wide open. Is there a bracket of another car I could use . I know some sites sell them but I'd rather goto a junk yard and pick one up.
If you are using a stock throttle cable, you could pick up a 90 Integra throttle cable from a junkyard or Acura and switch it out. That or using your stock cable, get the Place Racing bracket or make your own.
Well I don't have a welder so is there any other way. And if I got an acura integra bracket would that make it open wide open throttle.
well i used a 90 teg cable, but i still had the same problem like you. i found out that there is an easy fix. theres two solutions:
1) the bracket has two holes. all you have to do is slide the bracket to the right, so that its only held on with one bolt. if you do it this way, be sure to crank on the bolt so that it stays tight since you're only using one.
2) this is a variation of above, but a little more reliable and this is what i ended up doing. cut a small strip of metal and drill 3 holes in a row, using the spacing of the two holes on the bracket. then, screw the bracket with a nut and bolt on the right most hole. then there are two holes left to screw into the manifold. so basically it will be in the same position as #1 above, but it will have a strip of metal behind it so that its more secure than using just one screw.
before wasting your time cutting the metal, i would recommend trying #1 first just to make sure the idea works on your setup (as every setup seems to be a little different). then if it works good, follow through with #2 so that you have a sound setup.
good luck

locktite would be the easy fix, but i wouldnt guarantee it i guess. i would suggest the metal plate idea. it sounds more complicated than it really is. if my explanation doesnt make sense, let me know and i can draw a pic of it.

The outside jacket that surrounds the cable need to be shortened. Its a PITA but it works. You need to cut into the jacket and unwind it. Becareful not to cut the cable inside. Tape the two halves together when you have shotrened it enough. I did the same thing with the clutch cable. The throttle cable needs more removed thean the clutch cable.
here you go:
this is mine:
you can see the lip on my piece of metal. thats just because i used a piece of metal "L" channel, but it works the same way.

I saw this
at hcpengineering.com , and I noticed that puts the cable more torwards the passenger side. So now I'm alittle confused on which way to go.

i would recommend taking off your intake tube so that you can see your throttle plate. then, hold the cable firmly and have a friend step on the gas pedal and see where you have to position the threads. that will give you some idea. also, instead of holding it, just try #1 posted above by me. it will take like a minute to bolt it up and find out which way you need to go.

I just went outside any played around with it, moved the bracket both ways. Neither will work, I found out though the bracket neets to come alittle over torwards the driver side. Just a tad. So I will have to make that bracket you are talking about keebler, but now I'm thinking that third bolt on the bracket, the one closet to the driver side tire. That bolt might hit the mani fold cause its so close. My throttle cable only needs to be moved over like 2 mm.
well i moved that bracket over one hole, and bolted it up only by one bolt, and yes you can tell a difference in power, and it feels like it has more gradual pedal degrees to play with, (err linear)
