I bought the Misterjungs 5200k 9006 kit. I'm impressed. The install was straight forward, no glitches.

i was just wondering........when u get your car inspected, would u have to uninstall it?

 

Hell no! Not here at least. As long as they are aimed properly, I should be OK!

car inspections.....i didn't know if they would give u crap for having hid's

 

he means state inspections. In VA we have to get it done every year. I dont know about other states

 

here in ny......we have to get it done every year.........i don't want to pay 400 for things i have to fiddle around with...i have enough things to worry about

Thats weird. Some states dont have emissions and inspections...lol!

In Utah they happen yearly. These should pass no problem... especially with the place I take my car for inspection.

 

does it have any hint of yellow at all?

 

It shouldn't, my 4300K Phillips HID are totally white, so his are going to be more blue than mine.

 

well i have 4300k phillips kit and i have yellow in my pattern. Ive heard of many other people with yellow.

Why does your kit not have any?

This is me, but in person there is more yellow look to it.

any blue tint to it from looking straight into it? because i got a fixing ticket for my 8000K and i was planning on gettin the 5200K bulbs from misterjung because they are white... but yea the cops say its gotta be white so i want some with pure white light with no blue tint so i can pass the inspection...tahnx in advance

 

I think the yellow comes from the headlight housings. Its hard to explain, but mine have a spot in the lens that looks yellow if you look at it from a certain direction. No biggie though. Its all about the light that hits the road anyways!

Mine has no yellow on the road, just bright white.

 

Nice retro dude! But do you notice on your pic from the inside, the glare is lighting up the entire neighborhood! The cops will nab you for that cuz you're gonna blind oncoming traffic. I retroed in some X5 projectors into my car and it's awesome and its somewhat legal . I have pics if you wanna see what they look like. Just warning ya about the glare!

 

I do have plans of doing an OEM HID retrofit. The only problem I have... the HID bulbs I have now have the 9006 base molded to them.

But I am still on the prowl for OEM HID projectors. And I would love to see pictures of your retrofit.

As for the glare, Ive seen my car comming from down the street, and the glare didnt seem to be any worse than any other car. IDK...

 

Anyone have pics of misterjung's kit in the box? I'm curious to see what wiring is involved.
