civic1st gen crx swap questions
I was just wondering how hard or different it is to swap a b series in a 1st gen crx or 3rd gen civic? is it different than a ef? Is the wiring hard? the car i was thinking of is a hf crx. thanks.
it's possible, but a major pain in the ***.
you're going from carbed to MFPI. if you have ALL the wiring, then it shouldn't be much harder than just wiring the whole thing with the ECU.
it's MUCH different than the EF. It's a tight fit for a B series in a 1st gen, but still possible.
You'll be quick as hell and much props for having one in -- so go for it

well, i have a whole wrecked integra. so if i pull the whole wiring it is easy? is there any banging anywhere needed for clearance? The mount kit is all I would need? And also could I use the integra axels? or what would i need? thanks.
wow, you need to check the http://www.hasport.com for the ingredient list cause you need clutch linkage, throttle cable, radiator hoses, tranny issues affecting which axle application and even the hasport axle shafts, etc.
good luck, i am nearly done with my crvtec into sim. combo & may be able to answer a few questions...look first though

Definitely check with HASport because they have the mounts and shift linkage for the swap. They also have some good tech info on their site. I saw a blakc first gen CRX Si with a CRVTEC setup that someone on this board had. Sleeper as could be and I'm sure it would haul some major ***. I say go for it if you've got the parts to convert to MPFI.
