well isnt it preety big for t3? i canta fford a t3/t4 and i dont wnat to run a saab t3 that is .42 and .48 so i thought this would be great......
They did a project with this exact setup in HCI magazine. They used an 8:1 fmu with an inline fuel pump and a little bit of retard and used the SVO t3 turbo from a thunderbird and a drag manifold. Without an intercooler at 6 psi (using a modified internal wastegate from a volvo) they pulled 214 whp a5 7500 rpm and 152 lb/ft of torque, so I think that combo would work pretty well. Oh yah, and it was with the smaller turbine wheel, the .48 ar. Hope that helps.

Yes that turbo will work great on your B16a. I'm running the same one myself right now. I dont think you would want to go much bigger than a .63 on the exhaust side for a B16a anhow, and the compressor side flows plenty of air for a street car. Good turbo, you'll like it.

Here's an ITR with a 40 Trim T3 at 8psi
And here's an LS with the .48 Exhaust Housing 60Trim T3 for an Auto Thunderbird at some high psi (in the teens)
I know neither of those setups are all that close to what you're planning on running, but at least they show that mid to large T3's do have potential on B series engines
I'm currently running the Ford 60trim mentioned above (that's not my Dyno, though) on my LS, and I'm pretty happy with it. I reach full boost (8psi) by 4000rpm, but it pulls strong all the way, and I'm hitting high 13's with it and a crappy FMU

the SVO turbo has to differnt types....the automatic transmission turbo and the manual transmission turbo....just thought that you'd like to know
yea i got the manual one...just wondering if it is capable of 300whp...
However, for a street setup the Thunderbird T3's can be lots of fun, and are certainly able to hold their own in low/mid boost applications
im not looking to make that power now, maybe sometime in the future, shooting for 250whp @10psi now...I picked the turbo up for 30 bucks so i figured i had nothing to lose.
I am getting a t3 with .66 on the exhaust and .48 cold, but i am going to put a .60 on the compressor side, what kind of power do you guys think it will put out?

witch would be better for my b16 teh .48 exhaust or teh .63? thansk for all teh help guys
just run the turbo for now. Get use to the turbo cars, and if you still not satisfied, upgrade to a t3/t4. You can always upgrade it later on to a t3/t4.
