getting pins out of black clips to ecu?
i am getting closer to starting the swap(dpfi-mpfi), but i got to the ecu the other day and now the wires require something else to get them out, the pin removal tool i have does not work for them, I wanted to just swicth the wires without cutting anything , but i do not think that is possible. Any ideas?

remove the off white things around the wires inside the plug.....take a stiff needle on the ECU side and push up or down depending on which wire trying to remove....takes some practice and some pins are a bitch but this can be done.....
what other clips are you talking about?? there is only 3 that go into the ECU 1 white and 2 smaller black ones. Thats the only way to remove the pins unless you move the around futher in the harness
yeah those are obd1's. OBD0 IMO think are alot easier. Just take a small pin and usually they pop right out, I have some OBD1 plugs and those were hell to move.

If you can see the small tab sticking down, that is what you are trying to depress..It is a pain to do;I used a small vise to hold the plug so that I could use both hands.
Try pushing in on the wire when you try to depress the tab,Then when you think the tab has been depressed give the wire a slight tug.

On the wire side of the harness, you have to remove the wire retaining clips. Then using your pin removal tool on the plug side they should push right out.
