Default Finally got to drag the car! Some times.........

So our dragstrip reopened this weekend after being closed for 2.x years....I had the car running great at 10 lbs on pump gas, but we put in some c16 for the track....bad idea! Car was running like ***, popping and sputtering.....anyways here are some times (these are on MT ET drags 22x8x15 @ 13 psi)....couldn't get a 60 ft better than 2.0 though:

14.7 @ 94 (no traction, car was popping and sputtering)
14.9 @ 102.3 (no traction, car was still popping and sputtering)
21 @ 50.7 (let off in 2nd, was running like ***)
14 @ 113.8 (finally was learning how to launch, still popping)
14 @ 114.3 (finally got a run where it ran almost perfect)
13.8 @ 111.5 (best launch so far 2.09 60 ft, but car was sputtering again)
13.9 @ 111.3 (last run, 2.1 60 ft and still sputtering)

I'm going out again next weekend or weekend after to try for some 2.0 60ft's combined with some 114.3 traps, should be good for low 13's or so.....
lesson#1: I love dragracing
lesson#2: Don't run racegas unless you tuned on racegas
lesson#3: FWD sucks, there are cars doing 11's at my trap speeds

Your car looks like its good for some deep 12s. When my engine sputters...I usually shut her down until I can do some tuning.

dude your traps are indicative of mid to low 12s bro....i run 2.1 60s, with basic bolt ons, and i run 13.7 @ 102...it seems like your car is tkaing forever to build boost or something...post your whole slip so i can look at it, cuz your beating me off the line..and trapping way higher yet i get the faster 1/4 mile ET...id like to analize your slips....awesome runs though

I had some CAM2 fuel do that to me a long, long, time ago. most racing fuels can get away with running a little leaner.... but looking back the problem was my setup was borderline too-rich on pump gas and the race fuel pushed it over the edge.

The slower 1/4 ET is probably because he's at over 5000ft elevation in Albuquerque, NM

I ran my turbo h23 yesterday at PIR in oregon. I ran it at 8psi w/ stock 15" tires, no traction till 3rd, could only 1/4 throttle 1st and 2nd to get a decent time ran a 14.5, slicks would have pulled me to a 13.5.

prelude swap turbocharged in an eg, and u ran mid 14's??? wow something sounds seriously wrong...i ran 13.3 on street tires in an all motor crx daily driven with a 1.8...i would be pretty pissed if i hit a mid 14 after having a motor swap, and boosting....

Who is talking about a swap? Did I miss something?
My prelude is full interior, stock motor, custom kit, 10 psi, on slicks, at 5500 ft elevation.......best time was the 13.8 @ 112
What car is your post referring to?

You got 12's in that baby! 111mph is good for 12's, mid 12's.

Sorry to say, but I believe out trap speeds are off. The general consensus is 7-10 mph. Our integra went 13.0 @110 on nittos. My guess is Brian is trapping 105 or so. That woulod make more sense. But the car does have 12's in it.

All that lead in the C16 is messing up that o2. Run a mix of halv 94 and the other half c16 that will create a better mixture. Or just run 100 octane unleaded straight up.

Damn nice times all things considered, you are making me think about boosting the h stock while I am buliding the spare long block. I just fear detonation doing it in.

Thanks Clyde I've been waiting to run "the other turbo lude" for a little while, last time it was "you were right, my injectors were too small" (the 550's out of the supra) but now I hear he's out racing vipers, so hopefully we'll get to run them pretty soon....stock H22 on 10lbs versus built H23 on 12+lbs, if I don't get own3d I'm gonna have a pretty big smile
I think I can get the slicks down past a 2.0, they hooked good when I did the 2.0 I just didn't have enough power going on to really rip off the line....if I light them up beforehand, then launch on boost on the 2step I think I can get some 1.7's or 1.8's......
