either im retarded or i cant see? its either connected to the distributor and in that case im assuming vtec is always on? or its ran to an rpm activated switch? distributor could possibly be a modified cardbed d series?

Crbs are a very effective way of gaing poor mans power, Due to the drop in prices and increased options efi out performs imo. There are execptions ask Bisi. I own a set of mikuni carbs but chose efi.

yeah i would alos like an explaination on how it is done.
Carbs make alot of power and work almost as good and ITBs ( notice i said almost). I dont understand how they work on VTEC but i have seen them work on out vehicles and work really well.
Only one prob, Carbs dump alot of fuel so you will need to go to the gas station more often

I dont think this is a project anybody should take on, unless they have a race only car. ITB's might be ok for daily driver, but it better be a 9k+ RPM daily driver.
FWIW, NOPI sells weber carbs. Look under integra and either intake or engine component.

fuel atomization is better with carbs. this would be a projec tthat would be much more easilly taken on if you had experience in past with carbs. Even just snowmobiles and ****.

why does everyone ask how would vtec work get an rpm activated switch doesnt need a computer for this and hook it up. that is. I want to know where they got the carbs to fit on the bseries head they never made any carberated bseries is a custom fabed intake?
u can find carbs on ebay or wither fabricate ur own manifold or buy one from TWM. also, although an activation switch would work, i heard that over time, they can burn out ur vtec solenoid. also, ive heard one reason that carbs may not be good with vtec is that the carbs cannot compensate for the vtec changeover.
how does the rpm activator switch(which by the way msd carries them they are like 100.00 bucks and you can change the pills to get vtec to kick in whereeveryou want) ware out the vtec selonoid it does same thing that the computer does your just altering at what point it engages just like a switch.
You guys are all forgetting the fact that you need to add a bunch of fuel when vtec activates. So there goes just a rpm switch idea. I beleive the vacume advance idea is more along the right direction, with the rpm switch.
