Default FS: 1995 Prelude SE, newer JDM motor. 5spd

No pics yet, but will post them later, or email them if asked.

Asking $5,500, negotiable.

Birmingham AL.
GIRL DRIVEN. Not been driven hard. Old lady owned it before us in Georgia.

It's a rare dark forest green 1995 Prelude Special Edition with tan and black leather int. 5 Spd tranny.
Car itself has roughly 140,000 miles. Motor has much less. Absolutely zero rust.

The thermostat locked up in Jan of 2002, so we replaced the motor with an F22 from Japan, and put in a new radiator. This was the Prelude's couter part motor in Japan for the SE and the Si. JDM 2.2L DOHC; 160hp, 148ft/lb. Still a very fast car, lower mileage on motor than the car. Rough guess is 40,000-60,000 on the motor itself.

Old mechanic was a fraud and didn't replace the timing belt when he put the new motor in like he was supposed to (and said he did). Timing belt broke a few months ago, so the entire head was rebuilt. New valves, all new timing equipment etc.

Slightly modded. Has DTM style twin tip angled muffler, cold air intake, and front strut tower bar. Run at the track once, pulled a low 15 sec 1/4 mile time on a hot, sticky night that everyone else was .2-.5 sec off. Could be a 14 sec Prelude with the right driver and a mod or two more.

When the new mechanic put the head on, he evidentally hit a vacuum hose, so the car idles rich and sounds like it, and *sometimes* (once or twice a week) will shut off when idling. Always cranks back up. Runs and drives great though. VERY fast for an SE or an Si. We don't have time to track down the hose, so our loss is your gain. The car just has to go. Buying a new one. So get the car, find the $0.29 hose, and you're set.

Outside of the car:
Paint is good, a few door dings, a few rock chips, and some light hail damage can be seen from the side across the hood, and trunk. Other than that, it hasn't been in any major accidents, frame is straight, paint all matches, doors line up etc etc. And, like I said, zero rust. Ant. doesn't go down.
Has the "Special Edition" alloy wheels. Has the spoiler with the third brake light in it.

Interior:
Tan and black leather.
Drivers seat has tears on the bottom, but still in decent condition. The rest of the interior is nearly flawless. Very good condition. Stock Honda tape deck and radio.

You can contact me at Todd@import-enthusiasts.com with any questions you have, or simply post here.

*Disclaimer
No this isn't my car. I did pick it out off the lot, and drove it for a while. It's a very, very close friend of mine who owns it. All offers will be passed THROUGH HER FIRST.
Those who know me, know that I know my Prelude's inside and out. That's why I'm selling it for her.

Low ballers will be publically ridiculed. Have a great day.
