Default armrest alternative *pics*...please don't lock

i appologize if this post should be in appearance/cosmetic, as i've seen alot of armrest-related post get locked in here, but i was thinking a few might be interested in this.

i found an armrest at the junkyard out of an 88-89 integra sedan. i think this one looks alot more generationally correct than the newer 94-up ones. the actual armest shape looks almost identical to the OEM civic/crx ones, except this one is longer (and i've read complaints from those who have the OEM civic/crx one that it sits too far back).

basically all i had to do is trim about 1.5" off the bottom and elongate the ebrake opening up top. other than that, it's almost a perfect fit. the armrest itself was a dirty tan/brown, so i recovered it in black tweed.

it sits kinda high (compared to 94-up integras), but it can always be trimmed down even more. i like it where it's at though.

looks pretty good, is the whole console out of the 88-89 teg?? but like you said, it does look a bit high.
I'd love to have an armrest in my car, but my interior's blue and its hard to find an integra with blue interior around here.

Is it a crx? or just a crx dash/console
cause the guy's name is Hammed Hatch, so I'm figuring he drives a hatch, unless this is for another car and I'm just being a dumbass

Looks real good I wish I would have seen this before I spent $100 bucks on one for the CRX Oh well.
Oh and if that is the stock steering wheel in it that hatch and not a CRX no CRX ever came with a wheel like that plus I believe that those are Civic door panels as well cause the CRX's that have the material on the doors like that say CRX in them.....

i have a hatchback but i put the CRX dash in it.

yeah i used a dremel and a razorblade.

the steering wheel's from an 88-89 Prelude.

and again for those who asked, i got the armrest from an 88/89 Integra 4 door.

i'm skinny, so i keep my arm to my side when i shift and use the ebrake anyways, versus having my arm on the armrest or on the other side of it. so it's still comfortable to me.
