Didn't say there wasn't a reason to not go internal... I was just asking why, as the only other kit I can think of that runs internally gated is the GReddy ones. *shrugs* Not to mention I sure as hell hope you don't have to change that flapper anytime soon, being between the block/turbo.

when the last time you had to do an operation like that? and if you did...who cares. Its no harder to drop the whole turbo / manifold / downpipe than it is a header.

Then why ask?

Exactly the purpose of an external gate w/ a spring vs a flapper. You dont have to waste time dropping the turbo/dp/EM.

I'd only run a external wastegate for more reliable boost control.

I'd never go with an external wastegate simply because it is easier to change should anything go wrong.

I ran most of my turbos on my DSMs internally gated. Hence where I started changing flapper sizes. Never said I'd go external just because its easier to change, just said that it was easier.

People need to stop reading into **** so much.. all I said was hope you never had to change the flapper, cuz it look like it would be a pain.

LOL

I was just confused since you kept mentioning how difficult it would be to remove the flapper.

The only Honda application where I would bother upgrading the flapper is with the Greddy kit. Great kit, but only holds boost well to 17 psi.

Finally a kit that utilizes something other then those laggy *** hybrid "I don't like to reach boost till 5Krpm" turbos. This kit actually seems to be useful for a daily driven street car with road racing and may even prove useful in an auto-x or two. Especially on a 1.6 or 1.8. Get's two from me.

Is that Faraaz's car?? If so I've seen it in person -

The people behind Kinetic have been around Vancouver for quite a while. Shawn has been working mainly on German cars in the past. He recently has been working on Japanese imports. Workmanship is

I have to wait until the turbo R is done before he will work on my car.

Word is Kinetic will we getting the only AWD dyno in the area soon. So all the WRXs and Lancers will have to go there to get tuning.

The guy that owns it plans to drive it only on the street and take it to the dragstrip once in a while.

I'm trying to get him to come to HPDEs with me this summer - we'll see.

I think the car will be fast.

Kinetic also uses Autronic engine controllers - they're pretty cool. I'm not sure what kind of electronics they are doing on that car.
