Default brakes for eg civic

Is it enough to convert the brakes all around to Integra brakes for track use? I have drums on the rear now.

It depends, if you are talking about doing autocross, something like that can bump you into a higher class and you will be outmatched. Before you do it, check with the rules, unless you just want to run for fun and not worry about winning.

I understand what you are saying, but how does that really work? This setup will give him the same setup as the SI/GSR. Are those cars in different classes than he would normally be in?

Not necessarily. See it doesn't matter how much of an upgrade you make, its what you change. It is just a matter of certain things you are allowed to change in each class. I really don't know the rules in detail, so I would highly suggest checking the road race/auto-x forum here to get a better understanding. I am just trying to give him the heads up, if he is really serious about competing in solo II.
