CHEAPTURBO.COM now offering 5bolt turbine housing option
due to the fitment problems we have been seeing with the 4bolt turbine housing mating to most of the a/c compatible manifolds, we are now offering a 5bolt turbine housing option. the option will only be an extra $50, making the price of a t3/to4e with a 5bolt housing only $599 shipped and the price of the t3/to4e with a 4bolt housing still $549.
we have actually brought in a couple of the popular manifolds to check fitment and try to figure a way to solve the problem without changing the turbine housings. due to the larger than estimated difference in offset, we were unable to divise a solution or than offering the 5bolt turbine housing as an option for those needing it.
i hope this will help to save everyone from having to shave their blocks.
thanks

looking at the two it would appear that's the case, but i doubt it's enough difference to make a big difference in power on most cars here..

i will post some pics of the 4bolt housing and 5bolt housing side by side tonite, and point out the offset problem.
we are also working on a new all garrett gt30/35 flowing 65lbs/min. we finished one today and overnited it to FL for an S2000... updates and pics soon
Ken, I think that is a great idea.
Its probably cheaper for the housing to be changed rather than manifold companys to change their design for both turbos. To much casting process involved.
