Matt, if you end up seperating the bars, I'd be interested in the front.
I have a gen1 mugen rear, so I'm obviously not interested in that one.

 

I take it you're selling gen2 Mugen tower bars?

what is the difference between gen1 and gen2 for the rear strutbar?

 

Gen 1 had to be bolted to the sides of the shock towers as well as to the top... so yes you have to drill holes into the wheel wells and secure the Gen 1 mugen bar with 2 more bolts on each end.

The Gen 2 bar is more rigid on the ends so it can be bolted to the top of the towers only. Looks like the Carbing bars if you have seen those in the many recent threads.

Magic - I think the difference is Gen1 is two pieces, and Gen2 is one. I know for sure that the gen1 is two piece since i have one.



Gen2 is one piece as seen in this pic.

 

Chris stands correct. I just picked up a GEN1 FR bar, and its a two piece. ANd has four points for mounting. And My GEN1 rear bar is on the way.

Yeah, thats a two piece too, just like the wonderful front bar I have(hehehe).

you'll have to check it out oneday, I might even let you touch it(hehehe).

The GEN1 rear is welded on one side like the GEN2, and the other side has bolts and bolts down to the shock.

Is Matt going to split the bars for you two guys?
