Default Somewhere around 92 pics of the Rolex 24 Hours, use caution if you need to.

I saw the thread about people being offended by the "56k don't even try" type posts. I still put a warning because some people still like to know.

First up are the cars that were on display and people's cars just sitting around:

*Drool*

*Choke*

From what I heard, the guy who owns this R bought his son one of the King Motorsports Rs.

If you went to Marc, RealTypeR's party, you probably know Nate. He showed up and it was a nice suprise!!

And the We-Todd salute from Nate

Carbon Fiber

Now are the cars in the garage before the race:

I will just say here, that some kids' dads have WAY too much $$ to spend. Some of these guys that get to be around these cars are like 16 years old!

No touchie- Please stay behind the velvet rope

Here are the pit road shots. I need to say that my pit road experience was one of the most fun times I've ever had. I got to hold the sign for row 9. It was cool watching the cars line up. I was by the 33 Ferrari and met all 4 drivers. They are all cool as hell and one of them has a really hot girlfriend, who is featured here and "work safe". Swiss girls, *drool*. I met Bobby Rahal and had a great time overall.

Court

Yes boys, she could be with you right now if you only raced a nationally sponsored Ferrari. But since you don't... She is with 1 or ALL of the guys above.

This was our team, the did alright overall. RIDE is the place that gets us into these events.

Last, but not least, the best action shots I could get:

Umm, it's a Sony digi-cam. The sun was in my face for most of the pics hence the fuzziness. Thanks.

Oh. My comment wasnt about the quality,,, I just assumed the date/time stamp was on real film. Glad you didnt have to spend all that time scanning

Awesome pics, but what the hell is that thing?
It's a Consulier... the first Mosler creation that has evolved into the current MT900R. Ugly as hell but, on the track, they were really pretty fast.

Come to think of it... put a wing on the back and it could pass for a Daytona Prototype!

Here are few of my pics from the grid. I had intended to take more but the car I was working with (#58 Brumos Porsche) went out early.

Between we-todd not working, AOL crashing and just having 56K, it took me a day and a half to UL them all. Then it took about another hour to put them up on h-t But it was worth it. They turned out pretty good. No jumping the ropes, I didn't wanna get kicked out, hehe. I was having too much fun. I'm glad every one is enjoying them

Pictures are always nice to see! When I first saw this one I couldn't believe how low the Multimatic Ford Focus Daytona Prototype looked - then I realized it was just body panels....LOL

That original Consulier was 2.2 Chrysler turbo powered, no?

Also- the pic of the #69 M3 (finished 13th!!!) is relevant in this forum. The owner of the car (aka the guy behind it in the pic) is Steve Marcus from Marcus Motorsports right here in lovely Richmond VA. He and Richard Mitchum (one of his crew guys at the Rolex) are both tech inspectors for NASA-VA during the local VIR/Summit events so many of us love... when they aren't doing their pro stuff, that is. Congrats to that team for a very strong finish in that ex-PTG (gone but not forgotten) M3!!!

who wasn't there for once but will be at Sebring for sure

I Believe all Mosler vehicles (Eldorado TwinStar, Consulier, Raptor, MT900 to name a few...) are GM powered - Warren Mosler is a GM freak when it comes to motors and car parts.
