I couldn't initiate any over the last couple of days, but could respond. Yesterday was very limited, probably due to that virus that hit the board. This morning I could send a couple but now I'm not sure if they all are coming through and I can't respond or initiate any.

Anyone else having similar problems?

 

Its part of the same problem, i think.... try rebooting your machine, it has worked for me in the past.

 

ive sent a few.... but havent recieved any....

 

when you receive IM's, click the down arrow in the window and it will show the message that was sent to you. After sending, perform the same operation. Something wrong with the code for the IM windows. But that should solve ur problem...

The IM's seem to take forever to load up.

Lately I've just resorted to clicking on another topic or forum (while leaving the IM window alone),
and it eventually "fills in".

 

try logging out, then logging back in. that helped me w/ speed problems I was having on H-T.

yeah, IM has been slow for awhile now and it seems to have gotten even slower.

 

It might be related to the new virus called "Slammer" (www.mcafee.com)

I am having difficulties reaching some websites I normally visit each day.

 

Yep, it just takes some time to load before you can send IM's.

I go to my profile and to recent IM, there are all the IMs you get.

 

i dont miss im's, i get the little box, but i never get a message in em, ive tried everything! i can see who sent it so i just go to my profile and read it there, but its pretty annoying! and earlier in the week i had some problems trying to send some out, i couldnt initiate any either.
