Default 94-97 amber turn signals..... DIY

i am looking to take my OEM turn signals and paint them amber and i need to find out which colour code of Krylon Orange spray to use..... anyone who has done this can you please post the paint colour code..... i know there have been topics on this, and i did a search, but i could not find the colour code...only that people had used Krylon Orange...

also, i would assume that you would put a layer or two of clear over top after as well, but correct me if i'm wrong.....

I used Krylon Yellow stained glass paint. No clear. It is SMOOTH, looks shiny, and nice and smooth. Here's the pic...ghetto I know, got Visions in garage...

Lay LIGHT coats nice and even. Probably about 4 to 5 super light coats. It will smooth out after it settles. Yellow gives you this color and the orange will be a little darker.

they didn't have orange at the store I bought mine at. I don't know the color codes. They just have differet cap colors. You'll see the difference. They should have the paint at the local craft or home improvement store. I would have used orange for a darker look, but couldn't.

It all depends on how dark you want it. You can see how dark mine are, and with orange, probably a few shades darker.

I bought mine at Michael's. Most crafts stores carry it. I don't see why Wal Mart or Lowe's wouldn;t have it. Ask for "Krylon Stained Glass Window Paint". It's about 1/2 the size of a regular spray can. Runs about 5 or 6 bucks.

Why not just buy these and save yourself the hassle
http://jdmpartz.com/94injdmstylv.html

Painting them is just a waste of time in my opinion

those look like *** without the reflector, just another overpriced riceboy-wishing-i-was-jdm part. if someone were to pay the $55 for those thats exactly what they are too.

I used "Testors". It's competition orange # 1628. It's a pretty good amber color. Found it in the 'Hobbies' section by the model cars.
