Literally the screw broke off when I was turning it
the top part broke off and now it is stuck
do I have to replace the whole thing including the trailing arm or just the circle
man its a pain in the *** screwing around with shoes

actually all you need it a new wheel cylinder. its about $30 new from an auto parts store.
to get to the wheel cylinder, though, you will need to remove the drum shoes...

Exactly what Breaka_1_9 said. You have to replace the wheel cylinder which is inexpensive. It's actually pretty easy to install too. I did it for the first time to my brother's CRX and it took me about 45 minutes. Mind you I was doing it pretty slow since I was reading the instructions from a book.
you might want to replace both while your at it. so you dont get uneven wear on the shoes. just a thought.
one thing i remember is that the "aftermarket" bleeder screw that comes with the wheel cylinder has a smaller size "nut". the stock rears take an 8mm wrench and i think the ones i got are like 6mm or so...
Mine did the same thing, my mechanic said the best bet is to by a new caliper.
