Default Anybody tried the Kumho Ecsta MX?

well i am pretty sure that it will be tire time again by spring so i am just trying to see what i want to get. i am running the azenis right now and i loved them last season. i saw the new kumho MX in a magazine a few months ago and wondered if it was any good. i'll probably end up getting another set of azenis but i just want to know what everyone has heard about the MX.

Good foul weather tire, you made the best choice for dry DOT street tires.

I plan on trying these whenever I get the $$ to replace my bald Azenis. Probably spring time.

From what I have heard and read, they are about the same as the Azenis, maybe slightly less grippy. I am sick of the Azenis overheating, and am hoping the MX will be better.

Evan,

Pretty much all street tires are going to over heat when pushed hard. They are just not designed for the abuse of track events. You might want to consider a set of yok a032r's. They can be driven to and from the events.

As for the Kuhmo's, I read they were good performers, they were just off pace from the BFG KD's and Azenis, but not by too much.
