looks like the jrsc has torque everywhere in the rpm band and alot more torque where u need it when racing too.
to jackson and hondata.
now overlay a revhard turbo b16

You're falling into the trap of looking only at the peak numbers...in this case, peak numbers are extremely deceiving. The JRSC probably has 50% more area under the curve.

maybe peak power but look at the whole picture. The vortec dont even have enough torque in the low revs to make it onto the graph. From off idle till near redline the Jackson has it beat in torque and in power output. Teh Vortec has too short of a powerband
Conclusion, if you want to be fast get a jackson. If you want to feel fast get a vortec.

This Vortech SC b16a has:
51whp @ 3000rpm
65whp @ 3500rpm
83whp @ 4000rpm
92whp @ 4500rpm
someone show this to ClubSIRacer. I enjoyed my JRSC !
To Jackson Racing for making a nice bolt on power adder with little reliability loss !

. Looks like Jackson racing owns the **** out of Vortech.

Ryan, this is an excellent anaysis.
I am shocked at how well the JRSC does compared to the Vortech. I expected the Vortech to have much more torque near redline. But those stinkin parasitic losses get you every time.
Sonny is spot on with the "area under the curve" comment.
5 more peak hp isint going to win a race between these 2 cars, as the JRSC'd car would be out-accelerating almost the whole race.
Vortech really is the worst of turbo and supercharging! They're fine on large displacement motors that tend to make more torque on the lower end of the range though. ...where the parasitic loss is less noticable (i.e. a smaller fraction of the engines total power output)

so i must ask what the hell is everyone smoking on clubsi...why does everyone over there have a hard-on for Vortech?
i guess its like hostboard is the camp for the JRSC guys. every forced induction type has a home base of sorts. except nitrous. those guys blow their motors up too quick to get online and post about it. ha!

good old calc 2 .. area under the curve, definite Integral
or is calc 1 watered down so much you dont get to integrals until calc 2?????
man...if i remember correctly, calc 2 was a lot crazier than a plain ole integral.
Good graphs on both cars but come on 5-20hp could be purely based on the guys tuning, maybe the jrsc car was tuned more conservatively than the vortec car.
All I'm saying is if the cars both had the same mods and only the superchargers were different with one guy dynoing both the cars to a conservative timing, a/f levels on both thats the only way you would have a totally acurate hp comparisant..
Thanks for the bandwith..

Here is a Vortech Aftercooled 8psi system vs. Non-intercooled 8.5psi JRSC System.
i thought i was bad running 13-14 on vpc16 race only. those cars are at 14.

take a close look at that a/f ratio.
