Default Reflections of the WE-TODD-DID weekend at my house - MY VIEW, "incident" included (LONG)

First of all, thank you to all of you who came out. From the guys that drove from NC - Jack, Nick, and Andy to Atlanta with Sean & Lenny to the trailored Turbo half white/half black R from Saturday night and everyone in between, 99% of the weekend was everything I had expected.

Stats include:
2 floated kegs, 50 dead Red Bulls, 2 bottles Jagermeister, Bottle of Jameson, Bottle of Bailey's, Grey Goose gone in about 3 minutes, 12 pack Guiness used for car bombs, 3 other random bottles of Vodka, bottle of Jim Beam, over 100 bottles of domestic beer, over 100 plastic cups, 11 rolls of toilet paper used (damn you guys **** a lot), 7 rolls of paper towels used, 30 lbs of Ground Beef, 32 Hot dogs, 8 bottles of soda (for the wussies), 6 or 7 lacerations on D's hands from Tranny work, large stains in my driveway, over 150 cigarette butts picked up Sunday morning, 18 large trash bags full of garbage and several other things I probably missed.

In and out, I counted 17 Type Rs, but there could have been 18 or 19. (4) '97s showed up. Pretty good considering only 324 were sent to North America and a lot of those are wrecked, totalled or stolen.

CW definately owned the event, but black did okay and Phairy Yellow came in third with representation from me, Mike, Chris, Mike2, Ashley (car not present). Craig won with the only LS Mazda present.

I was a little hesitant at first inviting everyone over. I wasn't sure who was going to in fact show up and who would not. I knew most of the local guys and all of the we-todd-did crew, but some people had already committed to staying over that I didn't even know which kind of scared me. Boo439 - Cassie - was one of these people. There couldn't have been a nicer person to meet in the world. She and her boyfriend slept in my room with me and Crystal and the four of us bonded really well (no freaky stuff you sick ******)

"The Incident"

Friday night started out well. Rs were showing up left and right and many other random Integras, a few Si Buses, and some other random cars showed up as well. The keg was floated and most people crashed around 4 am. I crashed at 2:30 am because I was extremely tired from all the planning that had occured the previous week and work has been rough. There were a few people that I did not recognize at my home, but being the nice guy that I am, I really didn't think anything of it hoping that at least one or two people knew somebody else, so everybody would basically know everybody. I went to sleep and woke up the next morning feeling pretty good.

Saturday morning started out great. I woke up pretty early and me, Crystal and Zane cooked breakfast for 20 or so people that had stayed over. We-todd-did racing finished up the tranny work on my car and Brian (siQ) and Jack (01-851) showed up around noon to hang out. We fired up the grill at noon and by 2 p.m. had lots of burgers and hot dogs for everyone. We-todd-did racing was wrenching hard on Brian's car installed his Final Drive. At 4 p.m. I grabbed my cell phone off the table and saw that I had a message. It was my bank. "Marc, please call us as we have picked up some unusual activity on your account."

I thought the worst of it and grabbed my wallet off the counter to find all of the cash donations from my wallet gone as well as my Debit/VISA card from my bank and my American Express card. My heart raced as I returned the call to my bank....
"Marc, did you make a $228.00 debit charge at xxx Liquor store today?"
"No mam, my card was stolen last night and all charges that occured are FRAUDULENT!! What other charges do you see?"
Bank - "16.00 at a gas station on xxxx street in xxxx, Florida.
I think to myself, great, just great. I cancel my card and call my American Express to find that yet another unauthorized charge has occured from another gas station on my American Express Card. I cancel that card as well. I immediately call the liquor store and explain to the cashier that a FRAUDULENT $228.00 transaction has occured at his store with a stolen card. American Express had told me over the phone that an attempted $228.00 charge was attempted at xxx Liquor store, but was declined due to no ID. (Just the break I need)
What happened was that they swiped my American Express card, but with no ID, it came back declined, so they swiped my Debit card and it went through (still, they should show ID, you know?. Now, all I need is the survellence tapes from the store, see who swips 2 credit cards and they're busted!! I call the store requesting to see the surveillance tapes from today and they stated "you can't see them without a police report" I call the local sheriffs office and file a report. The cop couldn't have been a nicer woman. She pulls up to my house and sees 15+ Type Rs outside + another 5 or so cars on jacks, "What's going on here?"
Me - "Uh, just a little car fix-it day, I guess." I bullshit with her a bit and file the report. I forgot to mention that my digital camera was stolen as well which explains why I don't have any pictures from this weekend. The camera was a 21st birthday present from my mother just 9 months ago. The cop states that due to the value of the camera, this is considered GRAND THEFT and I must sign something that stats I fully intend to press charges and will appear in court if necessary. I gladly sign it and the cop goes on her way. Super nice cop. (Jack should have some pics of that)

Saturday night turned out very well. I felt like *** all day due to the stress I was going through, so I didn't drink (having a right now though), but we asked around for donations and covered the cost for another keg and floated that bitch in a matter of no time. A lot of us stayed up and played spades until after 5 am.

Sunday everyone took it easy, ate some breakfast buscuits and went home. Glad NC/ATL/WBP/TAMPA/JAX/GAINSVILLE all made it home okay. Sorry if I missed your city.

In closing, donations were awesome and much appreciated. I can now CLEAN MY CARPETS after this weekend with your donations. That's really the only damage done other than a broken heart due to theft. What brings you down only makes you stronger though, right?.

The weather couldn't have turned out better.

I sincerely thank all of you for coming over and you're more than welcome to stop by anytime to say what's up, have a or whatever.

Be on the lookout for an even bigger and badder 2nd Annual event coming this time next year!

D = you know you are welcome to work on my car for free whenever you want. Thanks again for making my car faster than yours.

Jack - man, that picture is priceless. Atleast I put on a pair of dress pants before the cop arrived. Tried to make a good impression.

dude.. how does that cop see over the steering wheel? when she opened here door did that little step slide out from under her car? Seriously though, i would have been there but i have a new 3 week old that keeps me busy 24/7, and a wife who would kill me... maybe next year. Keep us posted on the loser that stole your ****, burn that mother to the ground. maybe you can organize another event so everyone can goto his/their court date and sentancing and jeer at em...

I'll definately keep you all posted on the outcome.

After the cop left, she called me 30 minutes later wanting the phone # of the xxx liquor store. She's definately on our side.

Marc,

Thanks for having us dood. You've been a great host and I'm deeply saddened that things happened when you trust people. They will get what's coming their way, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the honda-techers will show up in court if need be.

I apologize for the ketchup stain on the carpet. I apologize for the big grease stain on your driveway, I wasn't thinking and I take full responsibility for both of those.

I had fun and you and your girlfriend are awesome. She taught me how to cook hamburgers! She ownz!

Len - don't sweat it man. I'll be acid washing the driveway this week as well as getting the carpet cleaned. At least you tried to correct your mistake unlike some grease stain trackers on my carpet!!

Thanks for the weekend brother. Ashley, Lindz and Megan said thanks and when I told them what happened they where extremely pissed off as well. I appriciate the good time everyone showed me, sorry for the little burnout in the truck, next time I'll try and smoke them more (BFGoodrich owns ).

I suggest another party in a few weeks where everyone leaves and beats the living **** out of those who stole the card.
