This is my friend's 93 Cx with a GSR motor.
I will be doing my own swap as soon as I get my GSR motor. Anyhow I took a lot of pics of his motor (only found this one at the moment) and just would like to find out what is what. I really am a newbie with motor tech, but I have to start somewhere
#3 is pointing at the 2 connectors with the black wire and gray wire.
This is a pic of his drivers side engine mount. I am curious if he can / should take the a/c pulley off if not going to be running A/C?

Thanks!
The #3 in that pic is the MAP sensor. The A/C pulley is already off but the bracket is still there. You should keep the bracket since it connects the left front lower damper mount to the frame rail.
# 1 is where the engine harness connects to the chassis harness, passenger side.
# 2 is the plug that connects to the distributor

You can't really just ditch the a/c pulley because they are all one pulley, the crank pulley.
However, I believe the civic type R came stock with only a two ribbed pulley because they don't have a/c, so that would save a little weight. Probably not worth it unless you are going all out.

Thanks for all the info! I'm can't find the other pics I took so I may have deleted them or something. But, I'm going to get more and ask about some other things so I can better understand the motors and hopefully the swap will go smoother
Yeah, I look at his motor and look at some of your GSR swaps on here and like WTF happened to my buddies??? I have a really good feeling my dad will be helping me with the swap and he likes to do $hit right the first time. I know the wires will be put away nicely and the everything will be all clean looking

BTW, After looking at this picture i feel alot better about my wiring job
