the reason for the tranny mount is because on the automatic the tranny sits higher, since you are converting to a manual you will need a manual mount... placeracing offers these mounts that can run i think ~$150, if not i'm sure you can cut off a manual mount and cut off your auto mount and weld in the manual one.

Why did you feel the need to bump it after your question about the mount was answered?

And why did you feel the need to question a bump? TTT!

Any more insight can't hurt...

Place racing is the only company i know who makes the mount. It's not a bad piece.

Another idea is to drill out the spot welds on the frame where the engine mount bolts onto, and reweld in a new piece from a manual car.

It's easier to just buy the place racing mount, I am how ever partial to HASport, and OEM mount, but that's just me.

That's the best way to do it instead of using the Place mount. You can buy a brand new tranny side manual mount bracket from Honda then have it welded in place of the auto bracket on the frame rail.

I went with the place racing mount in my car since I went from an Auto chassis to a 92 YS1 cable tranny. The mount cost me about $150 from place racing. There is one on ebay right now.

You need part number 60831-SR3-300ZZ

Or if you're using a cable b-series tranny, I've got a place racing mount for $45

just curious, but why does it seem like everyone is switching over to the cable tranny?
