Will Honda make a copy of my key for me?
Yesterday I broke my OEM Honda key off in my ignition. It was my only real copy that I had. I have copies of the original, but I dont the original key from Honda as they fit the best. Will Honda cut me a new key if I bring in my license, registration and insurance showing that it is my car?

I used to work at a dealership and I think they can make keys just based on year and model of your car. As for how much better it would be than your copy key I can't say...it took the parts department a couple of tries to get a spare key made that fit right (w/out original.) Good luck

when i got mine copied all they asked for was the VIN number yep! and proof of ownership.

Honda doesn't copy them. A hardware store can copy a key for you. Honda makes them new from key blanks based on a key code the can get using your VIN.

Makes me wanna cover the Vin with some electrical tape. My luck it would be illegal to cover the vin and I would get fined big time
