who would like to see something like this?
I'm looking into making a conversion kit for B-series trannies to adpat to H-series motors in the civic/teg chassis. Who would be interested? Of course it would come with axles as well
Yeah, the thing is that these damn H-series trannies don't like speed shifting(let alone high rpm shifting)....It's a better Idea since I've had a lot of experince with B-series trannies and they are stout as f*ck
to do this, i see it being done in 2 ways... creating a adapter plate from the block to the tranny, but it cant be thick ot the outdrive shaft wont go into the clutch.. other way is to have to cast a new bell housing with the h-series mounting pattern...

So what about the gearing? Would it work with the H22's powerband?

as you can see, the H22 gearing is similar to the gsr tranny...but with a different final drive. The 4.400 final drive will help with acceleration very nicely
here's what I get from the 94-01 gsr tranny

RPM in top gear at 70mph: 3326
here's an h22 tranny

RPM in top gear at 70mph: 3569
these calculations are assuming that the redline is at 7700rpm and teh tire size is 24.5"(which is what most people will use at the tracks on a higher torque car)....
