Well, some of you may have seen the post I made about two weeks ago saying that my car was stolen. Well we found it the other night, 4 miles from my house. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
While she was still in one piece:
When we found her:
They stuffed the car full of garbage bags, soda bottles, and a front bumper from a chevy corsica. . .
Something interesting:
That's the view of my car from a shady garage across the street. They had an engine lift sitting on the sidewalk out front, and a couple of people from a nearby business said that they saw my car sitting in front of that shop for about a week, and the first time they saw it, it still had doors, hood, etc on it. When we mentioned that garage to the police, they got VERY upset, told us there's no way that the car was chopped there, and told us if we wanted to keep talking about it that we would have to go to the station. Also, while we were waiting for the cops to come, (which took 45 minutes), one of my friends set off the alarm on the garage across the street. Five minutes later, the cops were there, checking out all the locks, and looking in the back to make sure nobody was there. I think they know that it's a chop shop, but didn't want to tell us.
Insurance wants to give me book value of a 95 cx with 130k miles and crappy body, but said if I have receipts and pictures, that maybe a better resolution can be reached (more money).
This brings me to : **** THIEVES and **** HONDAS.
I bought a 91 crx shell and it will never see the street. It will be a track only car and if anybody looks at it the wrong way, I will break their knees with a baseball bat.
I'm looking for a daily driver, if I decide to stay with hondas, I will get a DA, and keep it pretty much stock.
Watch out for your cars guys. Especially EG's. They're all the hype these days, and apparently even stock looking ones, are considered valuable to thieves.

God that ******* blows, About a year ago somebody broke into my old car eg9 (4dr) and tried to steal it .. I dont know why they didnt take it cuz they had it running but for what ever reason they left it there .... I was ready to beat the person who did it to a pulp !
... BTW I noticed the auto shop in the background of the picture ... VERY FISHY !!! a car with no motor cant get very far on its own .....

Sounds almost like a damn movie to me with the cops in on the chop shop and all, that sucks dude. I bet its even worse since you cant do **** about it when the cops are in on it. Good luck with a new car.

Man sorry to hear that. A friend of mine had a civic and it got stolen two times. Talk about bad luck. They stripped everything down to the pedals it was horrible. What company is your insurance with?

Whoa, that sucks man. Maybe you can have a friend go to that shop and ask to buy some parts that you know belonged to your car and then you can use that as evidence.

man id go get that cops car, and the garage owners car and strip them down to a f*ckin frame, put all the parts in em and leave em at that garage. damnit! i hate thieves. do some fawkin detective work on that garage man. the cops obviously arent gonna do ****.
